    If anyone is interested in a Skype study group for Transitions to RN please feel free to email me at germaindianne@gmail.com. I have met with another student online and plan to meet weekly. We met today and swapped study strategies and plan to meet next Tues night. We're working on the first section of the content guide right now.

    Hi, I have a question regarding Penn Foster (I know tis is an old post-lol)
    did you have to enroll and pay all the enrollment fees to take the Eng 103 exam? And did this exam satisfy the Excelsiors written english requirement?

    Hi Ms Piggy,

    The answer to both of your questions is .... NO! The only fee you have to pay to Penn Foster is for the actual course, no enrollment fees. I paid $70, and had it added to my ACE transcript. If you have them send it directly to Excelsior, there is a small additional fee ($10 or $15?)

    Eng 103 is Information Literacy... it is NOT Eng 101... which is a separate requirement.

    I just applied! Today! I am an LPN in OK. I am excited but will definitely need a support system to get thru this. So if you want to share, vent, study, sandytamborello@yahoo.com. I have an associates degree from a million years ago that I am hoping some of the courses will transfer. I am a little nervous about doing this in online and staying motivated and disciplined, but....here goes

    Just wanted to give you some encouragement...I was an LPN once too and enrolled in Excelsior (then Regents College) in 1995 for my associates. Got the ADN a year later and then returned to Excelsior in 2008 for my BSN. Now I am am FNP! I loved Excelsior because of the flexibility and support I received from them. You can do it too!
