    Howdy yall
from deep in the heat of texas

Well its been a few months now, and the transition from asst nurse manager to plain old staff nurse has been a challenge. But I am making it, doing better. Have a bounce back in my step. I am enjoying life more and my work more. Needless to say I am playing more golf also.

I even smile more. And I have realized that while it takes 52 muscle to smile. It only takes 4 muscles to extend your middle finger in a salute...

It was even well worth the cut in pay.

Good for you Tom. I only lasted six months as a home health supervisor. I talked to ots of people on the phone, esp when in crisis, but it is always nice to be there in person. It is a thankless job to be in charge!

Watch out for those sand traps!

Good Luck to you! I am in management and am considering the same thing....................the salaried thing gets old......working many hours over 40......

Any job decision that results in more golf can't be bad. Good luck Tom.

Im still just doing staff nursing in ER, Loving it. I get to watch as all these young charge nurses get stressed out. They are sweet, but I really like just doing my job and helping patients. Life is so much simpler, so much more golf time and sky diving now also. So much less time spent in silly meetings.

Been there, Done that, let someone else do it
