So.. I have heard not too much information on this school... I have heard there is no wait list.. has anyone been here, went and talked to councilors, or know any information on this school?

tuition, time u will be able to get in, pre reqs, etc?

Thanks!!

I Would only use WCU as an absolute last resort.....it is insane to pay that much for a BSN especially now when new grad RN's can't even find a job no matter if you have ADN or BSN.

Did your counselor send you to the nursing dept. and did you fill out a application ? if so then you are already in the program for fall all you are waiting for is the formal acceptance letter., you might get into spring 2015 if the people who applied before you give up their spots, very good chance of this, LATTC is contonous enrollment..This was my experience.

First semester there are no sat or sunday classes , not sure where your intern is getting that info from? . I am currently going into second semester and from what i have heard there are only 1 i believe sat classes in the period of 2 months for second semester.

If you are giving up 40,000 a year does this mean you will be quitting your job ? I haven't done the math for LATTC cost but for the whole year i have been attending it has cost me less than 2500 for every thing so far(tuition, books, uniforms ..etc) ...

My friend attended WCU and the schedule is even more intensive....she was not able to work and go to school at the same time ....you have to remember that WCU is accelerated program which takes up a lot more time.

Does anyone know if LATTC will accept Anatomy 1 and Physiology 1 as a transfer instead of taking Bio20 at the school?

sligo23 you should have no problem. I transferred all my classes to LATTC. Call the nursing dept and make an appointment with the nursing counselor.

I wonder why WCU called their program accelerated. It takes 34 months(almost 3 years) to get your BSN. To get an ADN at community college its 2 years. That would make ADNs it accelerated too i would think.

Was it easy to get in? Is it true, once you have all your pre reqs done and pass the tease you are in?----> YES.

How long did you have to wait to get in? ----> 1 semester

Where are you doing your clinicals ---> CALIFORNIA MEDICAL CENTER HOSPITAL, OLYMPIA HOSP, EXODUS-USC, WHITE MEMORIAL HOSP...

How much is tuition?-->> I GOT FEE WAIVER, SO IDK, ABOUT 500$ PER SEMESTER

How are the teachers... and if you could go back would go to LATTC? ---> YES, I WOULD! THEY ARE HARD, BUT THEY WANT THEIR STUDENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL. 1st SEMESTER STUDENTS GET KICKED OUT A LOT FOR VARIOUS REASONS.

EVERYTHING IS NEW @ LATTC NURSING DEPARTMENT (BUILDING, CLASSROOM, SIMULATION LAB, COMPUTER LAB, TEACHERS)

SINCE THEY CHANGED MOST OF THE PREVIOUS STAFFS (PROFESSORS, NURSING DIRECTOR ...) THE NLCEX PASSING RATE IS KINDA HIGH NOW. (Board of Registered Nursing - NCLEX Pass Rates)

NURSING STUDENTS @ LATTC USUALLY TRANSFERRED TO CSU (CSUF, CSUDH, CSULA, WESTERN UNIVERSITY...) AFTER GRADUATING TO COMPLETE RN-BSN DEGREE

Buspar, the info you've provided about LATTC has been so helpful! Ty! You mentioned that the clinical sites include exodus-USC... is that LAC+USC?

Exodus is the mental health facility and it is called Exodus recovery. The sites are located in Culver City and East Los Angeles. Students may also go to some of the Exodus Urgent Care sites around Los Angeles.

Thank you bicke100!

Hi Theone,

Can you talk about your experience at LATTC?

Does anyone know what RN 124 is and when they usually meet?
