Hey theone40, how is school going? Give us details! Hope everything is going well.

Hello has anyone received an acceptance letter for fall 2014?

I am starting the RN program Fall 2013 (a month from today) any tips on what to do and what not to do in the program? I'm pretty nervous but I am prepared for hard work because this is what I've wanted my entire life and I also want to show the professors how dedicated I am about nursing. Also any major study tips that helped you out a lot? Were your clinicals all in one hospital? I appreciate it and all of the other info you gave helped me as well.

How long were you on the wait list if you don't mind me asking?

Not yet I just realized that speech is a requirement and I haven't taken it yet :-/

@ blemus81 sorry took so long, school takes up all of my time. So far I really like the program and the instructors, everyone is very helpful. There is a LOT of content in first semester (not necessarily hard) , you have to be extremely organized and stay on top of your reading... The best suggestion i can make is just take it week by week, stay on top of you reading and you should be ok .

Thanks so much for answering! I'm glad that u are doing good. How is rn 119? I can't believe that no one has posted their acceptance to trade tech here, it's a bit sad. How is the schedule? Also how much is nursing kit? Thanks so much again! Best of luck!

well first they sent an acceptance letter. Then u had to confirm to that acceptance letter. Then like 3-4 days later they sent me a packet that you had to complete by April 17. Now we have to wait for emails. What did u get? If u want you can email me @[email protected].

Ok I will be emailing u ASAP thanks for responding

Hello,

I applied to LA Trade Tech Mid-End of July and am just preying to GOD that I get in Spring 2015. I've had my prerequisites done for almost 4 years now so it is going to expire soon. Super anxious because the staff at the nursing department stated that I won't get in until Fall 2015. Also I'm working full time right now in the health care field, 40 hours a week with full benefits. I know I will have to give up this schedule once starting the program. My boss is willing to have me work Saturdays and Sundays but one of our interns that go to LATTC says that sometimes they take up Saturdays as well.

1) Is there anyway where I can increase my chances of getting accepted sooner?

Here's my dilemma.

If and since LATTC takes up saturdays that means I have to give up working altogether. That means I'll have to give up $40k a year, times two years so $80,000 plus approximately $10,000 of LATTC tuition for a ASN. And when I go back for a BSN it will cost another $40k + $10k-$15k. Total of $145k for BSN... or I can go to WEST COAST and take out a loan for $120k and be done in 2 years with a BSN.

Does anybody have any helpful advice at which route is better to take? Please help!
