Is anyone applying for or has applied for CSU Chico State's nursing program? I'm planning on applying for spring 08 and just wanted to know what the cut off points were. I'm so nervous about the whole point system. I've calculated/estimated my total points and it seems like I should be somewhere in between 83-85/100 points. Does anyone know if that's good enough? I highly doubt that's good enough to get me in. I'm just sooooo stress out about never getting in a nursing program soon.

well, my fiance just found out that he cannot for sure move down with me for a long time, so I guess its time to find an apartment and maybe a roommate..... First time in 7 years I am gonna be away from him for more than a week... its gonna be rough. Plus we have a kitten together so gonna be hard to separate her from both of us ; ;. But you do what you have to I suppose.:cry:

I feel like I am totally leaving everything. I have a BF here and we have been together for > 4 yrs. He just bought a house in San Clemente, so he definently can't move with me to Chico. I have to start looking for a place too!

By the way, I have been married for 13 years and my son is 12. I am leaving them both to go wherever I am going. We have to do what we have to do, always. That's pat of life.:crying2:

ya, he cannot move down to Humboldt either.... And Chico is only an hour and 30 min drive home verses 6 hours from Humboldt. So if I moved to Humboldt I would probably never see him, plus I already told Humboldt that I wasnt interested. I have wanted to go to Chico for a long time. Its been my number one choice for a really long time, I just figured that when the time came my fiance could move down there with me. But even though he cant, that isnt going to make me not take this excellent opportunity and go to Chico state. I will just have to figure something out and make it work. It can be done!

Well I just spoke to the Admissions department at Chico state because a hold was put onto my account that blocks me from registering for my spring classes and that was because I didn't pay my tuition fee. So even though we found out after the 11th (which was the deadline to pay the tuition) we still get charged a late fee AND have to pay the $2000 tuition fee. So just in case none of you have done this yet, you need to go online/mail in a check for $2029 before you can register for classes. Also does anyone know when we can register? Is it Jan 5th? Man I can't believe how much school costs.... never imagined it would be $2000 a semester lol. So...... who needs a roommate! No way I can pay for my own place.....

oh one more thing... does anyone know a good place to apply for student loans? My parents will help me out a bit with my tuition but they cant afford all of it. So I need to start looking into student loans. thanks!

Hey FutureER RN...I can't believe admissions is making you pay the late fee. What about the people who will eventually be admitted on the alternative list??? I haven't tried registering yet since I need loans too! I contacted the financial aid dept. They said to fill out a FAFSA to see how much you qualify for so that's what I'm doing.

yup, they are making me pay the late fee and everyone on the waiting list, if they applied to other schools like most of us do, will have to pay the late fee too. It sucks a lot, but I asked the nursing office why they didnt get these letters out sooner and they could only say that they did their best.... so ya it sucks but what are you going to do.

FutureERRN, did you actually register for classes? nurs282 and nurs283? I tried to register and it says that it is not my enrollement date.

Also, I thought full time tuition is $2000, but 6 units is 1/2 time, so we should pay for those 6 units only, right? I don't get where the $2000 come from
