  1. On top of everything aforementioned, I diagnosed myself with Bipolar disorder, Anorexia/bulimia and Schizophrenia. Seriously for a while I thought I was full blown bipolar and I was so scared.
  2. Whatever classes they might want me to take(I doubt I have to take any other classes cause I already have another degree), I will have to take it at Sac State during the summer. I took ethnicity in the U.S, at ARC a while back, this count as an upper GE diversity at the State univversity, so if u have that you should have only 1 upper GE class left. Anyway, I am driving to Chico Monday morning to go see what's up. I am confused out of my mind and so broke right now, lol Ok, for my choice of school. I had AnP #2 and another class in progress. Humboldt requires a 2.7 in those classes. I got a B in AnP-Well, I really did just slid by, I had so much other things going on, with the nursing applications, the transcripts requests, the stress of waiting for the results, and then I have a husband and a child, so really I slacked big time this semester. I had an A in Pharmacology. So, if I get another B in that other class--wich I think I should get an A in-- I am in Humboldt. If not, well, Chico only requires a C, I'll be in Chico. So, I am still stressing cause I really want to go to Humboldt. This is crazy, it's my fault, I know, so I'll let you know next week once the grade is posted. lol
  3. FutureER, I just saw your reply in the other thread. Sorry, lol
  4. Thanks Polkadot(love that name by the way lol) FutureER, From my understanding, you only need 2 upper GE classes and your ethnicity class should be one of them, so you only need 2 upper GE. Also, there are no summer classes, so you can take your GEs during summer at Sac State which is closer to you(I presume) I am just saying that because you said you didn't want to be away from your fiance and 2 times a week driving 1h20 is doable. You can stay home until next fall. you know what I mean!
  5. Did u guys find out anything about the private sudent loans?
  6. FutureERRN, did you actually register for classes? nurs282 and nurs283? I tried to register and it says that it is not my enrollement date. Also, I thought full time tuition is $2000, but 6 units is 1/2 time, so we should pay for those 6 units only, right? I don't get where the $2000 come from
  7. By the way, I have been married for 13 years and my son is 12. I am leaving them both to go wherever I am going. We have to do what we have to do, always. That's pat of life.
  8. FutureER, So, if your fiance cannot move with you maybe you should go to Humboldt with me. lol I am going to start a roomate wanted thread, maybe you can find something there.
  9. sorry about that runningouttatime, I thought you were talking to me. Does anyone know of any scholarship that I need to fill out right now? I just found out that I am not eligible for financial aid, so I need something real quick. Please let me know guys.
  10. I am in Sacramento. So it is about 1h30 with no traffic. where are you runningouttatime?
  11. too bad, I don't have a dime to my name. Got no idea how I am gonna be paying for school. This is so crazy right! lol I registered for my classes. They gotta wait for financial aid to kick in.
  12. We should start a "roomate wanted" thread Congratulations runningouttime, I'll see you in Chico if I decide to go there. As of today, I am leaning heavily towards Humboldt.
  13. From what I understand, the nursing program population tends to be different from the school's general population. Generally a little older That said, the school population is melting pot. A lot of people from out of state-Seattle, Oregon, the mid-west, Southern California-. But the whole Acata population is like Berkley. Very cultural, very hippie, lay-back. Don't need to do the whole face make-up, designer clothes, high-heels and stuff like san-Francisco or San-Jose. They have coffee shop with little bands playing live, a lot of theater and plays all over downtown, in fact the nursing school is in the same building as the theater. Also, nursing classes are given all over campus, so you are not restricted to the nursing school. The drive is soooooooo beautiful. There is an area where the Tree is so big that they cut a tunnel through it so cars can go through(true story). I was amazed. And did talk about the BEACH, lol I am so excited!!!!
  14. The program is 5 semester so u don't have time to waste, you just hit the ground rolling. And did I say I love Arcata, it's like San-Francisco and Berkley rolled up in a bit of old west. Essentially hippie town!!! Now I have to go visit Chico.
  15. Sooooooooooooooooo, I went to Humboldt yesterday for a visit. I needed to make an informed decision. So my hubby and I got in the car and drove those 5 hrs. We went into the school. They are soooooo nice. I met with a few teachers, super cool. Got to see the student lounge where the students hang out, got to see the library(u have a view of the ocean from the third floor of the library, sooo coool), I saw the brand new lab with the fake patients(the fake child is kinda creepy) but the lab is really cool. The first semester is 10 units, so I will have to take a GE if I get finacial aid, There's no summer school, but they have set up a summer rural internship in the hospital around the area and you can start after the first semester.
