Is Anyone Applying For Or Has Applied For Csu Chico State Nursing Program???

Is anyone applying for or has applied for CSU Chico State's nursing program? I'm planning on applying for spring 08 and just wanted to know what the cut off points were. I'm so nervous about the whole point system. I've calculated/estimated my total points and it seems like I should be somewhere in between 83-85/100 points. Does anyone know if that's good enough? I highly doubt that's good enough to get me in. I'm just sooooo stress out about never getting in a nursing program soon.

I'm applying for fall 09. I haven't even received any information for Chico's general acceptance into the university to check my admission status. Every other school I applied to sent me a web account to at least keep me updated but I haven't received a thing from Chico for a good month or more. By the way, is the program there 6 semesters (3 years)? Thanks.

yes, I just opened my letter and I got in!!!!!!!!!! Omg I am so happy..... With my denial to Sac State (ha in your face!) I was crushed.... but am now so excited!!!!!! I cannot wait to start next year!

Congratulations!! That is so awesome that you got in. Even though i didnt, im happy for you! You will do great!! Good luck!! and . . . . GO CELEBRATE!! :yeah:

OMG...still waiting to hear...GRR...So nervous/anxious. Congrats future ER RN. How many points did you have this time around?

Hey guys, I just got my letter, i got in! I got in!

I didn't think I would, but yes, I am in, total of 84 points.

Now the BIG DILEMMA? where do I go? Chico(3years) or Humboldt(2.5 years)? Help...anyone......This is such a hard choice.

I had 82 points. :) And I also got into Humboldt but I am going to Chico!! Chico is a 3 year program I believe. So excited... grats to everyone who got in and if you didn't keep it up because you will!

Congrats futureER_RN.

I'll see you on campus if I decide to go to chico. lol

yes, you will! Time to start looking for a place to move to! I can't wait.... its time for a new change of scenery! Anyone else get in? Time to get to know eachother, as we will be together for the next 3 years!

YAY! Congrats everyone. How weird it is for me to think that just about 3 years ago I was in your boat and now I'm graduating (well God willing I get through the next semester...) Hooray! Oh and BTW Chico is a 6 semester program, but they are changing it back to 5, or so I hear. I don't know when that'll take effect. Hopefully ASAP, because when I was in semester 1 it was a complete waste of time (only 3 units, and you don't learn squat! We didn't even learn how to take BP's until Semester 2!) But anyways, congrats to all!:yeah:

grats to you Chaff for graduating! I just had a quick question for you. Which theme classes did u take, and would you recommend any? I have completed all my co-requisites already so all I have to take with my nursing classes is the two theme courses and my Ethnic course. I was thinking world catastrophe (theme U I think) would be interesing but I already tried to sign up for those classses and are already full.... ;/. I wish Chico would have let us know earlier so I could take my theme/ethnic courses first semester when I only have 2 nursing classes. Oh well.:o

Sooooooooooooooooo, I went to Humboldt yesterday for a visit. I needed to make an informed decision. So my hubby and I got in the car and drove those 5 hrs. We went into the school. They are soooooo nice. I met with a few teachers, super cool. Got to see the student lounge where the students hang out, got to see the library(u have a view of the ocean from the third floor of the library, sooo coool), I saw the brand new lab with the fake patients(the fake child is kinda creepy) but the lab is really cool.

The first semester is 10 units, so I will have to take a GE if I get finacial aid, There's no summer school, but they have set up a summer rural internship in the hospital around the area and you can start after the first semester.

The program is 5 semester so u don't have time to waste, you just hit the ground rolling.

And did I say I love Arcata, it's like San-Francisco and Berkley rolled up in a bit of old west.

Essentially hippie town!!!

Now I have to go visit Chico.

How is the student population at Humboldt? Never really left the bay area so not sure what to expect :( thanks for the updates they'll come in handy
