Just wondering what is the longest anyone has had to wait for I-140 approval?

My history:

joined OGP june 2004

Job offer St Joes phoenix aug 2004

NCLEX pass march 2005

filed for I-140 may 2005

Still waiting:stone

Now I have been told it will be November at least before I travel to US:crying2:

I think I should be in the record books or is there someone out there with the same problem:imbar

hi, we don't have any conclusive facts yet about retrogression. unless the gov't itself will make some pronouncement concerning the same. as of now everything is just a rumor about retrogression. if your documents will reach nvc, perhaps we have nothing to fear of. that's only my opinion, pretse!

hi! this is what i read from http://www.murthy.com/. so, i'm thinking by october a cut-off date will be posted. so, retrogression again. but it's good if it's all a rumor.

dos predictions on retrogression - april 2006 update

the u.s. department of state (dos) recently provided some updated predictions regarding retrogression and visa number availability. these predictions, issued at the end of march 2006 and confirmed in the latest visa bulletin, published april 11, 2006, essentially recognize that the recent occurrence of forward movement for the visa bulletin cutoff dates cannot continue over the long term. the rapid forward movement of employment-based (eb) immigrant visa numbers was possible because the demand for visa numbers was less than had been originally predicted by the dos. the immigrant visa numbers have moved forward sufficiently, however, to a point where there are many eligible cases. so this could result in some slowing of the priority dates in the near future. [the most current cutoff dates are always available to our readers on murthydotcom's visa bulletin page.]

the dos states that cutoff date movement will slow or stop when the dates reach the point where there is a high level of demand. this has happened in the employment-based, third preference category (eb3). the dos states that demand for immigrant visa numbers during the month of march 2006 was expected to exceed the total for the previous three months. the eb3 dates continue to be in the span when many cases were filed, trying to meet the april 30, 2001 deadline under the life act / 245(i), to take advantage of certain provisions for those who had no legal status in the u.s.

[color=#808080]schedule a professions could backlog by early fy2007

[color=#ffffff] ©murthydotcom

the dos predicts that schedule a visa numbers for registered nurses and physical therapists will remain current through fiscal year (fy) 2006, which ends september 30, 2006. they anticipate that a cutoff date probably will need to be established in this category in early fy2007, as the category has a total set limit of 50,000.

^ i think this bulletin is accurate and credible enough to believe. but if your case is declared completed by NVC before the end of the fiscal eyar (sept 2006), then your pretty much safe. so let's pray that those who are still waiting for I-140 approval will have it very soon

Yes.. They are very quick for I-140 but you still have to wait for I-485 approval to get greencard.

I have been waiting for almost 4 months now. Hopefully, I will hear from them soon.:)

Hi! from what state are you? Can you refer me to your agency? I got with me all pass results NCLEX (FLA), IELTS Visa Screen but afraid to get duped by agency but i have 2 months only of experience .

Hope to hear from you soon.

Received a letter Friday 2nd June from OGP saying the immigration lawyer is now getting involved because my I-140 approval is taking so long, well all i can say it is about time:uhoh3: So still hopeful my approval will arrive soon.

i applied for the I-140 and I-485 at the same time since i am already here in us.approval of I-140 took a year and after a month of I-140 approval,I-485 was approved.it really varies.

Recieved a phone call from OGP yesterday:uhoh3:

My I-140 was DENIED at he beginig of june along with 25 others before i went into complete melt down they explained that documention was changed in March 2006 and although they recieved letter for further info on some case the 25 others wernt asked, so everyone bar the 25 got there approval.

A lawyer is now involved in each case and 15 have since been approved the CIS taking responsibility of course as yet my case has not been looked at.

Carnt express in words how i fell:crying2: was heartbroken last night and am angry and down today just keep asking myself how long do we keep waiting, or do we let it drop and go for plan B and go to Autralia instead, really in a turmoil here will hopefully shortly get my head around it all. :sniff:
