Hi folks,

This is what the reply I have got from NVC via mail. I have not understood the mail properly.. Could some1 help me and tell me exactly what is the issue???

Dear Madam,

A packet containing the Immigrant Visa Processing Fee Bill has been sent to the designated agent or attorney of record. The payment due amount listed on the fee bill must be paid according to the instructions before the DS-230 form will be sent.

NVC does not have an overall processing time due to the fact that we cannot estimate how long it would take someone to accurately complete and submit the requested documentation. Once documentation is received at NVC, the processing time for all documents to be reviewed is 6-8 weeks. Further information will be sent after the review is completed.

It just states that they sent the bill to who ever is handling your immigration, either your agency or attorney, and that payment is needed before they can send any further documents.

Hi Suzane,

Thanx a lot for ur reply..... I was shocked to hear this. I was just thinking that I will be scheduled for next month... Coz My agency told me that my case has gone from NVC to embassy last 16th of november... And I would not think in my wildest dream that it was a lie... Coz they had given me the Consulate number MDR2004XXXXXX . Today i contacted my agency again showing them the email I have received. They told me that they have payed the fees long time back and everything is on place.. They insist me to trust them... yeah.. i find no reason to do not.

And i am totally confused. I really don't know how to handle this. Coz my agency say if they wouldn't have payed the fees i wouldn't have got the consulate number... Does anybody has the same experience... They say NVC dosen't take so much intrest in sending private mails. I am still considering the fact that do not trust the agency... Please.. somebody help me.. I need advise.. really don't know what to do..... :crying2:

Hi Everyone.

I have a small question here.Would appreciate if anyone who has an idea replies.

Today I recieved a packet by post from US Embassy Mumbai.

It has DS230 forms interview letter plus instructions.Isn't this called packet 4??

I thought this comes via our agent/attorney.Does this come directly??Any ideas/Experiences??

And my second question is:

My husband is based in UAE at the moment.

But he was in Oman from 94-98.Do we need to get POlice clearance from Oman??

And my attorney says he needs police clearance from India too.Is that needed?Anyone in similar state??And if I need to get Police clearance from Cochin PAssport Office will I need his original passport to apply for the same??

Any input will be appreciated.

THAnks and let light prevail..)

To answer your second question:

Your husband will need Police Clearance from UAE, Oman and India. He can request for PCC from Indian Embassy in UAE.

Hi Bodgie,

Were you ask about work experience?

thanks,

dale

Yup work experience was asked like where did you worked before or what unit. They asked weather I will work in a hospital or a nursing home. The consul was particular about the job offer and the ds230 form. But nursing knowledge was not asked.

Hi ! you need to submit your payment for the visa fee bill before they will send the packet 3. Ask your agency who will pay for your visa bill. In my case, they paid mine while I pay for my dependents which costs $335 each. Hope this helps.

Hi bodgie! What if one has a less than a year work experience, will they still grant you a visa even if you hold a USRN license and CGFNS cert?

Yup they would really want that, an Rn license means you will work as a nurse in the US. Please bring a proof that you already passed the NCLEX, I brought the official result of the nclex which I downloaded from ncsbn.

Also bring your original visa screen certificate.

The consul willjust ask you if you have an experience but it is not a requirement for the visa.

Passing NCLEX is also not a requirement, you just have to present the required docs indicated in your packet 4. They may ask for additional documents but this is mostly to support and validate your dependents.

hi, just called up NVC, they informed me that my case was completed last June 17, 2005. And will have to wait 6-8 weeks. Please tell me how soon will I be scheduled for an interview? I have checked with the Embassy page in Manila, the August schedule for interview is out, but my case number is still not listed for interview. Is it true that the 50,000 visas available will be used up come October? I am really anxious. Thanks

I suggest you start reading this thread from page 1. It will give you alot of information and a clear picture of the 50K visas. October 1 is the start of the U.S. Fiscal Year which means there will be VISAS available again for all categories...that is the most anticipated date of non-schedule A workers.

And who told you that the 50k will be over in October 1? The Department of State OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED THAT THE 50K WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE....

From the July Visa Bulletin...

F. VISA AVAILABILITY BASED ON THE "RECAPTURE" OF EMPLOYMENT-BASED NUMBERS

Title V, Section 502 of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (Division B of Pub. L. 109-13 enacted May 11, 2005) provides for the recapture of 50,000 Employment-based immigrant visa numbers that were unused in fiscal years 2001 through 2004. Such numbers are to be made available to Employment-based immigrants described in the Department of Labor's Schedule A and their accompanying spouses and children. The immigrant classification for these 50,000 visa numbers has been designated as Schedule A Worker with the category symbol being "EX". Beginning immediately, "EX" visa numbers may be allocated to Schedule A immigrants and their dependents only; all other immigrants within the Third preference will continue to use the traditional Third preference classification. Note that any Schedule A applicant will first be eligible for a visa number under the traditional Third preference cut-off date. "EX" visa numbers may be allocated to all Third preference Schedule A applicants from all countries, including China, India, and Philippines, only if their priority date is beyond the established Third preference cut-off date or if the Third preference category is "Unavailable". The "EX" category is CURRENT, and will remain Current for the foreseeable future.

Goodluck to all...There are enough visas for all of you...

Dale
