I agree with Dale. Tell the agency that you would like a copy of the receipt of the fees paid. Simple solution. If they had in fact done everything that they were suppoesed to do, then it should not be an issue. If they haven't, then you should look for another company.

The Agency I signed up seems to be the best in Bangalore, India. And they have already sent so many of my friends and they are all working succsessfully in US. Thats the reason why I signed up with this Agency.

This is the reply I got from him and it seems like trustable... Suzane, Dale your comments are expected...

"We had sent the DS 230 forms of your husband to NVC on October 19, 2004

and they added him to the petition and sent us the Fee bill on Jan 4,

2005.....we sent the fee bill for him in the last week of January and

it has happened before due to retrogression and documents piling up at the NVC for non availability of visa numbers, some fee bills were cashed

but were not entered in the system...for earlier cases we sent them the

cashed receipts from the bank and NVC attached the amount to case

number....in your case also we will be doing the same.

I have asked out accounting department to get the cashed receipt from

the bank and send the copy to NVC immediately, so give us 2 weeks time

to resolve this.

We appreciate your patience in this regard...and will make sure that

the rest of the process goes on smoothly."

Nimisha,

I suggest you get a copy of the FEE BILL from NVC and DS-230 that was for your husband and the CASH RECEIPT from the bank to prove that your agency paid the visa fee for your husband or dependents and the FACT THAT THE PAYMENT WAS RECEIVED AND WAS ENCASHED BY NVC.

We need facts/documents/legal records to prove things.

Dale

Somehthng is not kosher. It doesn't take two weeks to come up with a receipt. Not sure how they are handling their accounting. And that they never followed up with this before................something is not right.

They asked two weeks for not to get the recipt. But to resend it to NVC and make that reflected in NVCs system. They said similar cases had happen coz of document pile ups.

Am just waiting... Now its too late for me to withdraw the case and give it to somebody else.. Hope they will make everything correct.

What I find so odd is that they never thought of doing this until you contacted them. You could have been waiting another year...............

Who is responsible for keeping the records there? And they don't want people to follow up?

If they sent the documents and payment in October of last year, and never recieved the appropriate receipt, it is there responsibility to follow up on this.

If you were not using this site, you never woukd have known to do this and would still be waiting.

I am sorry but they are getting paid to be reponsible............they may not be getting paid by you but are by the hospital, etc. and this isn't right.

And especially if they said that they were aware of this problem happening.

Thats very true Suzane... I am really thank full to this forum and all u people. I am exposed to site likes this but as u said there are many who dosen't know how to follow up and they simply trust the agency.

Now its my faith. What i am planing is I will try calling NVC after 2 weeks again then check the status...

Thanks again for the support.

:) Hi all my friends!I am back now after witnessing a big calamity.

To be precise the floods in Mumbai.

Was a victim myself though not to a very great extent.

But from what I saw and fought against all these days has made me realise onething 'Man and his discoveries r too small in front of Nature/God's Ire."

Ever since the 25th of July I and my son and thousands like us were living in inhumane conditions - No water No electricity No phone lines/internet No basic commodities like milk food etc.

All around was just destruction. The rain gods had wrecked havoc and all around me I could see corpses floating in the flood waters carcasses of animals stinking and helplessness of mankind.

As soon as things started getting normal and phone lines were repaired I logged on to my PC and first thing was to come here to allnurses.

During these days when I was unable to do this there was a feeling of incompleteness ;such is the help this forum has always been.

Sorrry to hear about Nimisha.Dont worry lets hope what ur agency says is right.perhaps their system has not been updated.I am praying for u.

Kid roop have u got ur medicals fixed??

My medical is on 24rth.I hope I clear it without any hurdles.

I am happy to be back.Missed u all!! :)

Glad that you made it back safely..............

Glad that you made it back safely..............

Thanx a lot Suzanne!!

Can you clear a doubt for me??

What do RN I RN II and RN III mean??

Is it a classification based on seniority or is it something else??

In any case which level stands first??

In 2003 when I had signed my work agreement it read that I will work as RN II

but last week I got the appoinment letter from my employer which states that I will work as RN I.

Is there something amiss??

Please clear this doubt.:uhoh21:

I am awaiting your reply.

Regret if I am causing inconvenience.

Nimisha what did your agency say??Any positive reply??

Bye!:)

Most new nurse to the US will start off as an RN I, then will move up as they become familair with your previous experince and skills. It would be hard for you to precept a new nurse or be there for bouncing questions off of since you will still be in a learning mode.

Absolutely nothing to worry about, it is strictly a clinical ladder for where your skills and training are at. They have nothing to compare it to since you haven't worked in the US before, and things are done quite differently ove4r here.
