For me it was Anatomy and Physiology, OB and Peds. I think mainly OB and Peds was tough because I knew that wasn't anything I would ever do in my career. I did the best in Physch nursing of anything, but wasn't much interested ini that either.
I think everyone has areas where they do better or worse and that where their interests are is what is easier.
Good luck!
Getting to early clinicals on time (after working evening shift the night before) Keeping that ugly navy cotton uniform clean and pressed while going to school and working.....Having to say "no" to numerous fun nights out with my friends....I did manage to go out one night each week and a friendly bartender even let me and another student friend of mine run a tab....Not that I recommend drinking like a fish to blow off steam during school-but periodic blowout of some kind is important.....Originally posted bySunshine78Hello everyone!

PS- is keeping "the uniform" clean really important?
Oh no- I am Not a morning person NOR a coffee drinker- any tips?
Get plenty of sleep and try not to be too grumpy in the morning. :)Originally posted by Sunshine78PS- is keeping "the uniform" clean really important?

Back in my day clean and neat uniforms were a must. I'm pretty sure it must be today as well, perhaps the students can answer that one.
Yes, clean is important. You are representing yourself as a professional. Or in your case a student entering a professional field. But you were kidding when you asked that one.
Pharmacology, Cardiac, Lytes and fluid balance. Most people have trouble leaning acid base balance.
As far as getting up early. I love you cause you will be one of those folks who will be happy working nights when you graduate. Get used to going to bed earlier. As a student that may be a problem so get excited that will get you going in the a.m.
I agree with 3rdShiftGuy and Mattsmom81. Obstetrics and pediatrics are hard. Med. Surg. was hard but I loved it. As for the uniform just make sure that its not too wrinkled and there are no major stains. Just throw it in the wash after clinicals. Morning clinicals aren't so bad, you just adapt over time. Happy New Year!
