I'm sure this has been done before but I figured I'd do it anyway!
You know you're in nursing school when......
Your mind is thinking about so many different things that you actually have to stop and make sure you have on all of your clothes before you leave the house!
When you truly cease caring about politics, current events, your social life, your friends' social lives, or anything that isn't related to nursing school.
When budgeting the time to exercise three times a week feels like an accomplishment.
When you realize you've forgotten what your spouse looks like when he's not asleep.
When you want to go postal on your education major friend complaining about how hard she has it.
When you DO go postal on the idiot pre-med major who says you'll be "working for her" after she graduates med school.

...you check the online gradebook the second that the test grades are released, then you go to text your NS friends that the grades are up and you have three texts saying the same thing waiting for you.
LMAO, this is soooo true.
I'd have to say you know your in nursing school when you take your books on vacation with you..
When your emotions range from excited to exhausted to exhilarated to proud to scared to peaceful in the space of a 6 hour class.
That is so absolutely true. Today was a test day. I went from anxiety to relief to exhilarated (because I thought I did really well) to disappointed to mad and then upset when I got my grade and it was a freaking 81.
It's exhausting sometimes. It does help to read that so many others do the same crazy things I do. I spent the day studying yesterday and right around 7 pm, I had to sit and really try to remember if I had brushed my teeth that morning. I still can't remember if I did or not. Luckily I didn't leave the house.
One thing I was talking about today - you know you're in nursing school when someone asks you the time and you give them military time. Or my daughter has been having trouble making it through the night without wetting the bed and I actually sat and considered how much more convenient it would be if I could just cath her.

:yeah:I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like that!!
You know you're in nursing school when you take "extra precautions" on clinical days when you know your period is due soon.
