Hi everyone!
Interested to know who else will be applying for the 2nd entry program at York U for Fall 2014!
If you live in the City of Toronto, you have to go to the NPCO office at York to pick up a vulnerable sector check form (consent to disclosure) to mail to the Toronto Police Service. You must attach a $15 certified cheque or money order made out to the TPS to the form.
More info here: http://www.torontopolice.on.ca/recordsmanagement/prcp_faq.php#q06
If you live outside Toronto, follow the instructions provided by your local police service.
I am an external applicant with CGPA of B (Borderline)/c+ and last 30 credits (B+) according to York scale [finishing up my philosophy pre-req, have final exam for that course next week).
York just updated myfile and I got Reviewed-Unsuccessful-program full for 2nd entry nursing program. so, does this mean I am not placed on waiting list?? Do I have chance to get in incase if any applicants drop out from 2nd entry nursing??
I called york and they said program is full. I am kind of surprised because last year they were sending offers till end of July. how can the program be full at this time??
I really dont no what I should do now:( please help
The poster above me is right, "Unsuccessful" means you're no longer considered for the program this year.
If you decide to apply again for September 2015 and you can get your GPA up to the B range you'll have a much better chance of getting in. I will be honest, very few applicants make it in to York's program with a C+ average (note that schools don't round your GPA), and those who do are usually wait-listed.
Wherever you decide to go from here, I wish you good luck! This is only a bump in the road!

Probably your best bet is to take some more university classes this coming year and try to get your GPA up. Ideally take some that will also work for your prerequisites, because they sometimes look at that average as well.
Hey, NikolaStankovic. Thank you for the info you provide, it will really help. I want to know, if you remember, that when did the exam end for the 1st semester?, as exam schedule stay same almost every year. I am international student here and planning to go home country this December for my brother's marriage. If you let me know, it will really help me to plan ahead. Thanks in advance.
Hopefully N***** can come give you a more specific answer, but the Fall exam session for 2014 starts December 9th and ends December 22nd. So our exams can fall any day (even weekends and evenings) between the 9th and 22nd. Usually exams for specific classes are scheduled around the same time every year, but this isn't a guarantee. So it's highly advisable to not make plans between the 9th and 22nd until you find out your exact exam dates (some time in November I believe).
Winter classes being January 5th.
Hopefully these dates work out for you!

I cancelled my offer this morning, so that should officially open up a spot for an external candidate. :) Good luck!
