YES!!! I GOT IN!!!

YESSS!!!! I'm in! And I'm so ready and so MOTIVATED to start my Pre-Nursing classes!

What should my first semester look like? What classes do you recommend starting up with? I want to take at least 4 classes!

Do you recommend A&P1 and Microbiology in the same semester?

Good luck! I am starting a 2yr RN program at local college. Took me 1yr to complete prerequisite and some co requisite classes to prepare me. My school had anatomy and physiology separate. I took anatomy alone in a different semester then took physio and micro together in 1 semester. That was not easy! I say if you think you are capable and can dedicate LOTs of time studying go for it! More power to you! But I recommend taking it slow too because nursing schools are SO competitive nowadays. Better to spend extra semester to get all As on prerequisites then doing mediocre since some nursing schools don't take repeats...

But the whole point is you know yourself better than anyone!! Good luck yay!

I would sit down and speak with an advisor and work with them to create your schedule. They will know what courses you need that are required for your school's specific nursing program, and will also know what classes are pre-requisites for other classes that you'll require.

Congratulations! I suggest getting a copy of the degree plan, making a list of all the classes you will take including their credit hours, and writing out what each semester will look like. Talk to an adviser, yes, but don't depend completely on the adviser, because I have heard way too many stories about that. But it helped me a lot to write out what each semester would look like so I could see how many hours I would have each semester and adjust accordingly. I know several who ended up with one or two classes "left over" and had to spend money on an entire extra semester because they didn't plan it out from the beginning. I personally decided that I would only spend four semesters on prereqs and will successfully accomplish that after next semester! Let me tell you, the time flies!

If you don't have to take two sciences together, than I wouldn't, but it can be done. I took A&P 2 and Intro to Chem together and did well in both.

I took A and P and Micro together. It really wasn't that bad A and P is your main focus, micro is very easy

Congrats! You probably can handle A & P and Micro together. If you add a fourth class, make sure it's something easy like English or Psychology or something like that. You don't want to overdo it your first semester in and then not pass. Don't rush, take your time and try to enjoy the experience.
