Yale University Graduate Entry Pre-Specialty in Nursing (GEPN) 2025

Published

Hello,

I don't think there is a thread for Yale GEPN applicants for Fall 2025 start, so here it is! Let's share knowledge and cheer each other on! Also, if there is an existing thread, please let me know.

I want to submit my application soon, but I keep re-reading and editing my essays... Anyone else doing the same thing? I have been out of school for almost 10 years, and I'm getting flashbacks to high school/undergrad days!

Additionally, has anyone sent a transcript via Parchment? My transcript should have been received by Oct 21, but on NursingCAS, it says it hasn't received.

Thanks, and I look forward to communicating with you all!

Hi all,

Good luck to everyone on their journey whether it is with Yale or not. I just wanted to know if the decisions of the Community Scholars Program would be included with the acceptance of the program itself?

Hi Brianna,

It doesn't look like it? Maybe the results will come out in another month.

I applied to their FNP specialty and have not heard anything yet! Going crazy!

Hi everyone! I applied to pediatric primary care, but I was rejected, I guess it's time for my plan B! 🥲 But I'm wondering, what speciality did everyone else apply too? Congratulations to everyone who got in!

What specialty did you apply to?

I'm so sorry. I hope that you get to another school! I am also still waiting for decisions from other schools. I applied to AGPCNP to Yale.

Hey Kat,

I applied to PMHNP and the letter did say we would get a financial letter later. However, the decision letter stated if you will receive merit or need-based scholarship. I'm guessing if it doesn't say anything about the community scholars program scholarship that you did not receive it. I just thought since we applied to it differently we would get a separate notification indicating if we were accepted or rejected to the community scholars program.

I'm not sure about that one, but I remember in an email invite it say it releases that scholarship notification by January? This would be a good question to ask admissions.

Hello,

My acceptance and financial aid letters contained merit and need based only. No community scholars. I also remember seeing somewhere we'll receive the decision in Jan.

Thank you and good luck to all!

Congratulations!!

Congratulations!

Fyi for those under rolling admissions... "We will accept applications on a rolling basis through March 1. We will do a review of all applications received by January 1 and then release decisions at the end of that month. Same thing with February, and finally March being our final round. I hope this helps clarify!"

So the next time any decisions will be released is end of January.
