I've never posted here before but I am going to be applying to Yale School of Nursing this fall for a 2015 start in the GEPN program, CNM/WHNP cohort. Wondering if there are others out there preparing to do the same? I'm heading down to their info session next week.
Does anyone else have any tips about the interview?I'd also love to hear any I info you learned that made YSN stand out to you!
(I'm applying as an RN so our interviews aren't until later)
Thanks!
I don't know what the RN day will be like. The GEPN day was jam-packed full of info sessions. They're very clever, I already liked Yale but now I'm completely in love with the program. I took a LOT of notes. They were informative and genuinely helpful. I love that faculty are engaged in interesting research and work with the other programs at Yale to further their educational model. They just do a great job of marketing themselves to prospective students.
I sent that financial aid pdf to someone really late on Friday but I'm not sure if anyone received it... and no one picked up the phone today. It's definitely my fault for doing this so last minute. How do we know if Yale received the document and the FAFSA stuff? I only finished them barely before the weekend started
I'm not sure how we can confirm Yale received their forms - I only mailed out the hard copy on Wednesday or Thursday. FAFSA will send you an email when the forms are all processed. I'm surprised MP didn't address it in today's email. Maybe they'll do it like they did for the applications - an email if they haven't received the paperwork?
Guilty, don't feel bad. I brought my hard copy with me on Friday and handed it in at the info session. There were people there who didn't know it was due and one of the Financial Aid people had to go and get copies of it to hand out in the session for people to fill out right there. You are definitely not alone.

Hey, I'm also applying as an RN. Currently in my senior year of BSN school. I need to make sure my recommenders send in their recommendations yet. The whole process is nerve-wracking but I like the emails letting us know the timeframe for decisions already. The program seems very organized.
