Hi everyone! Wanted to start this conversation for those who are getting ready to apply once the application opens on June 1st 2021.

I am hoping we can all share information, ask questions, and support each other throughout the exciting journey ahead!

 

Has anyone interviewed for FNP specialty yet?

Just interviewed for the Midwifery program. It was an amazing interview and the interviewer was warm and caring! The questions were similar to everyone else. "Why Yale" and questions about my transcript.

Hey guys! Did any of you send thank you emails to your interviewer? I can't find my interviewers email anywhere.

I just finished my interview! I don’t feel like I did amazing but don’t think I did terrible either. My interview did go a little short though so that makes me a bit nervous

I did not see that we were provided with their emails.

Everyone I've spoken to has sent or is planning to send thank you emails. I remember back when I was interviewing, I had the same issue. I emailed admissions and asked for the interviewer's email. I figured a slight delay was better than not sending one at all.
(On another note, I wrote an article about your online interview setup for allnurses a couple weeks ago. Thought some of you might find it helpful.)

I found it! I couldn’t find it on the faculty link but I found it on precepting yale link!!

Hi everyone, 

I just finished my interview for NM/WHNP. It went well. Funny story though, I got on the zoom link on time and no one joined for 10 minutes. Turns out the interviewer was sent a different zoom link and thought I was late or something, tried contacting me via text but my phone was purposefully off for the first ten minutes...so that was comically bad. That being said, we luckily both had time to talk for over thirty minutes and it seemed like a good conversation!

When do we find out if we were accepted or not?

I feel like I remember them saying February 1st during one of the information sessions. Does anyone else remember hearing that? Admitted Student's Day is February 11th so it has to be before then.

My understanding was that it was the last week of January. Also, it sounded like they moved the admitted students day to be virtual.

I think one of the emails we got said first week of February. Last year it was Feb 1. Can’t wait for it to come, I’m somehow more nervous now that interviews are over ?

 

edit: also my interviewer said the same, she thought we’d know by first week of February
