Hi everyone! Wanted to start this conversation for those who are getting ready to apply once the application opens on June 1st 2021.

Hey guys I just got my interview done phew..

Same for me my interviewer said that It's possible it will come out in early Feb and that it will have to before the new admission event so.. I mean that's almost another 3 weeks of waiting yikes..

edit: also my interviewer said the same, she thought we’d know by first week of February

Hi All, 

I just had my interview with Yale's FNP program. I think it went really well! The professor who interviewed me was so kind and the questions that were asked were all the same as everyone else. She said there were several applicants, and could not give me a timeline, that is something students would need to ask admissions. Fingers crossed!! Waiting game begins!!! ahhhh!!

Hi all,

have been a long time lurker but wanted to drop in after my PMHNP interview this morning!

interviewer was great, some technical difficulties meant that the interview was only about 25 minutes but seemed to go well.

Formal question and answer, but with a conversational feel - she moved a question up based on my answer to the previous question relating to it.

She asked me why Yale/why APRN, how the APRN training would allow me to achieve my goals as a practitioner, to talk about how I handle a conflict, how I handle stress, how I’d contribute to Yale’s diversity mission, a quality I thought would be a strength for me as a practitioner, leadership experience, and where I see myself in the future in this role.

Is Yale anyone’s top choice or are there other schools you would prefer?

Personally Vanderbilt is my top choice!

Vanderbilt or Yale is my top. Even UMASS is up there as well. Honestly wherever accepts me! I have my UMass interview today too, hopefully that goes well:)

Yale is certainly my top choice.  The only other program I have applied to is Seattle U, which I am nowhere near as interested in (although it is a DNP).  If any PMHNP's gain acceptance at other choices along with Yale definitely go the other route ;))

is vanderbilt doing interviews?

UMass interview went great, the faculty were so nice and made me feel so comfortable.
