Nursing Students School Programs

Hey all! I am reapplying and wanted to create this for everyone applying. I won't be as involved as I was last year, but good luck to everyone! I know they're having seminars and allowing people to schedule one on one consultations for applications.

It was very question and response rather than conversational, 37 minutes total. In any event, I got into Columbia's MDE/DNP today, which certainly takes the edge off!

Congratulations!! What specialty did you apply for? And are you preferring Yale over Columbia or do you think you're going to accept it?

Congratulations! I also got into Columbia’s MDE today! Yale is my preference though. ?

It's really close and up in the air. Pros for Yale are that I'm a prior student and I like that they have more of a zero-day start (technically there are no pre reqs, though I've done a few). Pros for Columbia are that it is a MS/DNP instead of just an MSN for the same time commitment and NYC (though I love New Haven too). I honestly don't know. Slight lean towards Yale.

Thank you! It is good to have a strong option.
I think this next waiting period may be harder that the previous ones! Thinking of us all.
My interview is done! Loved loved my interviewer, it was very conversational, the 30 minutes flew by. So excited about the program and the next few weeks of waiting will be agony because I want in so bad ??
Good luck to those next week!

I had my interview yesterday and think it went well as well. to those interviewing next week, try and relax this weekend, you’ve made it this far! My interviewer told me we would be hearing ON February 1st, not the week of, but they may have been incorrect. regardless, we have less than a month, we can do this!!

Did anyone get the feeling that during interviews in general for these programs, the interviewers are looking for key phrases or ideas from interviewees? Today’s a good day, done with my interview as well as received the first dose vaccine! Yippee!
Hi,
For those who have interviewed already. Any advice on what one needs to know about their interviewer in particular. I have a brief synopsis of my interviewer, but any key points one should know ?

I didn’t need to know any info about my interviewer. I, of course, had the synopsis of their bio, but there wasn’t really a time to incorporate it in the interview.
Thank you !! ?
