  1. You’re so welcome!! Good luck!! ?
  2. When I say your “why?”. Why do you want to become a nurse practitioner? Depending on your specialty track, why that specific track. As long as your why is genuine everything will flow. What life experience and/or work experience help you make that choice. Remember the essay questions. Some of the questions you’re asked may come from those essay questions. The admissions office has already reviewed your application.
  3. Hi, I am currently a 1st year specialty student PMHNP track. When it comes to the interview, remember your “why?”. Why you applied to program and what you hope to gain from the program. The interview for me, was more of a conversation.
  4. Hi, When you apply they’ll ask for the LORs information. They’ll be sent a link via email to submit the letter as well as asked a few questions. The application usually opens around June.
  5. Hi Flying Nurse, I had the same issue when I applied the first time. I was told my references were “piss poor”, not their words, but basically what I took from it. I basically decided to start over with three letters of recommendations. 1 education to speak on me academically. I have two roles at work so, my nurse supervisor for when I am a floors nurse and social service director when I am in my leadership role and someone I work close with. My nurse supervisor spoke on my nursing skills, while the other reference spoke on my leadership and team work skills. All advice Jana gave to me about my application, I followed to the T. I left no room for them to guess or questioned anything about me. I didn’t change my essays, just added on because they were slightly different. I applied back to back. So, this was my second time and I was accepted. Recruiter or nursing you’ve being on a long assignment with since you travel as a nurse. I hope this helps... ?

  10. Starts August. But, unsure if it’s early August or late August. Definitely like to know. I was asked to go on a trip. Definitely would be a good thing to do before starting the program.
  11. I believe my Interview went well. Because it was so conversational, I not sure if I answered the question completely. I am praying for the best. I can tell my interviewer did not review my application, so I hope that I was able to present myself well. I’m assuming they will go back to admission and conclude. I’ve been manifesting this and hope with the interview and application I am seen as a complete whole.
  12. My interview was today. I believe it went well. But, I will do my best not to try to think of what I could have said. I will remain positive. Now the waiting game.
