Hey all! I am reapplying and wanted to create this for everyone applying. I won't be as involved as I was last year, but good luck to everyone! I know they're having seminars and allowing people to schedule one on one consultations for applications.

Hey everyone! I tried looking through my emails myself to find this answer but couldn't.  Does anyone know if the application is due before the 15th or by 11:59 on the 15th?

Hi Psychmeout,

I believe it's by11.59p on the 15th. I think it's somewhere on the app, maybe on the instruction or home section?

I'll copy paste here once I have checked. I have a very full day so please, others, feel free to chime in. Thanks!

Hi all,

I am done with the application but it won't let me submit due to the following error:

"GPA and GPA Scale are Required for Each Institution"

Did anyone else run into this? The information is in there...

Do you have any foreign grades which would use a different format?

Or is this about the prereq section?

I am good now actually. I am surprised the admissions rep got back to me just now well after hours! Apparently if you have to put a zero for non-traditional grades you still have to put a 4 for the GPA scale to make the entries acceptable.

I have a question, folks.

How did you list Summer programs?

I have 2, one in a European university and one from a famous, private school in the US.

I did not ask for credit for them, b/c my current program is broke and makes it hard for us to take credit anywhere else. So all I have is official certificates.

Some other programs I applied to accepted them along my degrees, others asked me to add them in an addendum.

Except YAle explicitely says not to add certificates to the additional info.

I forgot to ask J. so I thought I'd ask here! Thanks!!

I am also an applicant so in no way an authoritative voice but perhaps you could include it on your resume as additional trainings/ certification?

Happy due date everyone! I'm so excited for you all and love watching your journeys. The next couple of months will be nerve-wracking so I'll save the "try to preoccupy your mind" speech, because I know it won't work from experience and heavy eye-rolls when people said that to me, haha. Maybe to be pro-active in waiting on interview decisions order "Role Development for Nurse Practitioners" by Stewart & Denisco to help you prep for interviews. Someone recommended it to us last year and I found it therapeutic during the wait and very helpful in better understanding the role and my confidence during the interview. Good luck!

 

PS... just looked back in my amazon history and I bought the older edition for $7.50. Don't go spending $50+ on the newer editions.

Thank you for the recommendation !! @kc_FNPtobe  Yes even with working every day, it is heavy on my mind so I appreciate you realizing it may not helpful for some haha. I'll just wish in this anxious waiting there's good stuff that happens for everyone as well! Do you mind if I ask if there has been an update regarding the incidents that have happening on campus? I know you said look out for an article and the professor will not longer be presenting with the son, just wanted to ask someone who is in the thick of what is happening.
