Hi All,
I have been on the lookout for the 2020 thread but figured that I'll have to create one. I am sorry if there is one that I am not aware of.
I am a 2020 hopeful that is looking to make a career switch. I was at one of the information sessions where I gained further insights on the application process and the program. I took the GRE yesterday and was around the 50th percentile for both Q&V.
One of the changes to this years' requirements is that you don't need the GRE if you already have a masters degree or would complete one before the start of the 2020 session. I haven't taken the major prerequisites, but I will take and complete them in the summer of 2020.
I will start talking to my recommenders from next week, I have a tentative list that I composed with a view of having them tell different stories about my candidacy.
May I crave the indulgence of both current and past GEPNs and the benevolence of prospective class of 2020 to make this thread the best one yet. Your views and insights are welcome and appreciated!

So after receiving the email from Joseph yesterday I wanted to turn in the application asap per his instructions. Honestly, the only reason I hadn't already was because I was waiting for some people to look at my essays who had forgotten I asked them to critique them.
Anyway, my point is as I went to turn it in, it gave me an error message in regards to my transcipts. It said it won't allow me to turn in the application before I "fix" these issues. I assumed I could get past that since they said don't worry about turning it in until the 15th. Plus, I already sent in the official ones weeks ago so I didn't think it was necessary to also do the unofficial ones. So I called one of the schools whose transcripts I was missing and it turns out my account has been deactivated because it's been years since i went there and the process to get them would probably take over 24 hours(past the deadline). I'm also taking classes online and there is nothing on the unofficial transcipt because I haven't finished the class yet. I uploaded it empty and it still didn't change the error message for the online classes. I'm freaking out because I need to turn this in asap!!!!
PS. I already emailed the ysn email and left Joseph a voicemail explaining the situation.
Joseph should be able to help or you could call your school’s registration office and explain the deadline and ask them to email you an unofficial copy. Another idea; do you have any of these unofficial transcripts in your email history? I had Emailed myself and someone else unofficial copies a few years ago and was able to get them from that email... also, the colleges you attended may be able to reactivate your log in so you can at least access the unofficial. I know it’s stressful. You have today and until the end of tomorrow to officially meet the deadline. Best of luck and let us know how it works out. If I think of anything else, I’ll let you know.
I actually did think of the email thing and surprisingly I cannot find it. I'm pretty sure I only sent official transcripts to the school I transferred the credits to through Parchment. And yeah they said the process to reactivate it would take at least 24hours or probably more. Ugh I'm still unsure of what to do about the classes I'm currently taking because it gave me an error message even when I just uploaded the empty unofficial transcript there. Maybe Joesph can help out like you said, I just hope he responds back. I'm going to try to go up to campus in person and plead my case about the deadline as you suggested, thanks!
Thanks for your advice @AmyS4Update: I got a print out of the unofficial transcipts in person. Luckily, this nice woman in the office took pity on me and hooked me up despite my student account being deactivated. Then a godsend in the form of Nicole Evans from Yale Admissions called me back and helped me through the process of submitting my application. She was so kind and relatable, it's great they have people like that there! Good luck to everyone submitting applications and those anxiously awaiting supplemental documents to be processed!

So glad you were able to get that taken care of! Such a stressful time it is great knowing people are going to be there to help us through the process.
@AtYourCervix247 Thank you! It really is so stressful, and I am glad she understood. I felt bad because she called me back while on her lunch break. Most people definitely would not do that, so they clearly go above and beyond.

They’re admissions reps are really outstanding. One reached out to me on a Friday night and then got back to me on a Saturday. They really care about getting is through this process. Good luck everyone!

So hopefully this reassures you that yours will be in before the deadline of the 15th!
I took mine on October 14th and they say received today! ?
