Yale GEPN Applicants 2011

It didn't look like there was a thread for 2011 Yale GEPN applicants. Since the application recently opened, I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is starting to work on their application.

Anyone else out there?

anybody deciding btwn yale and columbia for peds? congrats to everyone that's been accepted!

I'm in for A/GNP! I got the call at about 1:30 Pacific Time and I'm honestly a little embarrassed about my response. My exact words were, "Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you!"

How awkward. I wish I didn't say that!

I'm deciding between Columbia and Yale too for psych!! I guess we'll meet up tomorrow at the visiting day -- can't wait!!

Me too Williams!!! I also got the call today (thank goodness since us West coasters wouldn't have gotten our letters by the time we travelled east to Columbia) and also a call from OHSU, and am now in the tough situation of deciding between AMAZING programs...boo hoo right?! But truly, it's really difficult! Hopefully tomorrow will shed some light on the matter rather than making it more difficult.

Well, I can't wait to meet you tomorrow. It's always great to put a face to a name! (Not to mention that we may very well be studying together wherever we end up since we are both in the psych specialty and considering the same programs ).

Thanks everyone for making this one of the best birthdays with me! You're all wonderful and I look forward to meeting you all in the Fall! Time to start researching living areas, etc etc!

Heya happy birthday Amalay! Don't lose hope if there was no call today; they will probably be making calls tomorrow too.

Family! USPS is too slow.....

@minkewhale: what time did you call/what number did you call? i will call first thing tomorrow morning. has anyone posted that they HAVE NOT been accepted? i'm concerned that maybe they just contacted people who got in... :(

does anyone remember the approximate number of people they were admitting as GEPN students for peds?

I remember my interviewer saying that they were aiming to admit around 18 for the peds? But I'm not 100% sure, someone else check me on this.

Hopefully they will still be making calls tomorrow! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for everyone waiting, good luck!!!

Not 100% sure where I am going yet. It is either Yale or Columbia. I'll learn more about Columbia at the accepted applicants day tomorrow.
