It didn't look like there was a thread for 2011 Yale GEPN applicants. Since the application recently opened, I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is starting to work on their application.

CONGRATULATIONS williamsrower! you might have already said but where do you live? Wow they are really trying too freak us out with this. Letters and phone calls...ahhh, I hope that they'll call my cell since no one us ever home for my permanent address!

Got my letter in NYC, and I am on the waitlist (for WHNP/ANP). I'll probably think about things for a few weeks. The letter says they take people off up to mid-summer, and Columbia starts June 1st! So at some point I am just going to have to make up my mind!

Hah, they called me as I was on my way home from the post office. I actually apologized and said, "I'm sorry, I'm sure I'd sound a lot more excited if I hadn't opened my letter 20 minutes ago!" But still, very exciting. I'm in for midwifery, probably giving my spot to someone else out there but still very happy. Good luck to you all! On the phone they said that fin aid stuff would go out next week.

Thanks guys! I live in NYC -- that's the funny thing. I'm probably going to get the letter today.... Unless there was some issue with my letter or something, haha! I HOPE YOU GUYS HEAR SOON!!!:heartbeat

They just called me to tell me I was accepted haha! I told her I got my letter yesterday and she said they decided to call because not everyone had gotten their letters. So looks like everyone will know today!

I wonder if they are going to call everyone now? Or whether is based on area, like if letterswere list or delayed due to weather. This making me so nervous I can't concentrate on the midterm I'm about to step into...lol, if I do get a call, I'm totally just going to run out of the midterm! Haha

I put my cell phone as my only contact number -- though I suppose they could do either! Probably cell phone, right? I mean, that's what most people use nowadays anyway, I assume.

She made it sound like they were calling everyone. I live in CT so they are not just calling people who live far away. I got a call on my cell phone but I had put that down as my contact number also.
