WSSU 2019 ABSN!!!

Published

Hello there,

I was wondering if anyone is planning on applying to the WSSU ABSN for the Spring 2019 cohort? If so, I would love to hear where everyone is from. If accepted, I plan on relocating from Massachusetts. From reading previous years' threads the program is pretty competitive so good luck to everyone!

Is 60 around the number of students they usually take? Or more

I think 60 is the max they take. They usually only except around 45 but there were so many applicants that they bumped it up to 60.

The anticipation is killing me...I am ready to find out!

I never received a confirmation email either! I have tried emailing/calling to see how we would find out if we got in since I mailed in my application but no response yet.

I never got a confirmation email either!

I called earlier last month to make sure they received my application and Mrs. Leak said that she could not verify because there were too many applications to go through. She said if we sent it to the addresses on the application then they will receive it. So I know for sure they won't verify if they got the application or not.

I was able to get in contact with someone about two weeks concerning my application. I was told that my application was received and that we should be notified by the end of the month.

That's great! I wish I could've got the same response lol I hope They tell us soon because we have to apply to the University and have our official transcripts sent in by Nov 1st I believe.

I saw there were people on this thread who were planning to apply to UNCW, ECU, and UNC. Have you all heard from other programs yet or have a time frame as to when you should hear from them? Also for those applying to UNCW how are things looking there due to damage of Florence a couple of weeks back?

Hello everyone. My name is Taja and I also applied to the spring 2019 cohort. I'm getting nervous while waiting to find out the results. Good luck to each of you!

I'm currently in the program now. They will not send a confirmation to tell you that they received your application. We heard back around October 19th, but if yall hear back after that date I wouldn't be surprised. Don't be worried if you have to apply to the actual university by nov 1. I'm pretty sure some people in my class applied after because they were notified of their acceptance later than others. I have heard that the incoming class is bigger than normal with about 60. Best of luck!

Do you know what they're really looking for when it comes to choosing who to accept? I know it's not based solely on gpa, but do you know what they're looking for ?
