WSSU 2019 ABSN!!!

Published

Hello there,

I was wondering if anyone is planning on applying to the WSSU ABSN for the Spring 2019 cohort? If so, I would love to hear where everyone is from. If accepted, I plan on relocating from Massachusetts. From reading previous years' threads the program is pretty competitive so good luck to everyone!

I plan on applying. Super super scared I won't get in anywhere.

I am planning on applying to. Do you know how many apply and how many they actually take into the program?

Hey there! I'm also applying to WSSU for the upcoming cohort. I'm a little nervous! I'm applying to pretty much every nursing school in the state in hopes that someone will accept me. I live about an hour and a half outside of Winston so it would be nice to get in there.

I plan on applying to WSSU, UNC, ECU, and UNCW's BSN. I am so scared that I won't get in anywhere :/

I will be applying to the program as well and already live in the area.

Hi! I will be applying for the upcoming spring 2019 cohort also! I live about 30 minutes from Winston Salem. Does anyone know how many people they usually accept into the program?

45 students will be accepted.

Do you know how many usually apply? If we meet all the requirements will we definitely be accepted?

Good Morning guys. Good luck to you all on applying to the ABSN program. I submitted my packet on this past Friday and I was notified that they take about 60 students. I asked about waitlisting and if that was a possibility. I was told typically they don't, however if there are several students who for whatever reasons are unable to participate with the program they will then go back and revisit the list of candidates who were next in line (but it has to be a significant number of folks). From reaching out to a gentleman who works in admissions I was told that anywhere from 250-300 students apply to this program.

Hey guys,

I have also applied and nervous about admission. Has anyone been able to get in contact with the Nursing Department? I am from out of state so I had to mail in my application since there is not online submission. I've been calling the front office to make sure that my application made it, but I have not been able to get in contact with anyone.

Hello! I am also planning to apply to WSSU as well as UNCW and UNC Chapel Hill programs. I am so nervous! I wish there was more information on stats such as GPA and TEAS scores to help compare. Does anyone have any information on average scores for these schools?
