Sure. If you find the right person, it doesn't matter what their job is. Legal professions, of course.
I feel that way too, although when I was in school, I made sure not to live with pharmacy students, and except for two summer jobs, I did not work with any either. I worked at a hotel banquet facility for 3 1/2 years and NOT ONE pharmacy student worked there in that whole time! It was so nice to get away from that.
yes, i would...and did. my first husband was not in the medical profession, but my second husband was in the medical profession. he was also a nurse. i really liked being married to someone who "got" my profession, and hated being married to someone who hated my profession. so, yes, i would marry someone in the medical profession again as long as his income matched or exceeded my own.
I'm single, and want to find the right chap to wed, and if he's the right chap for me it wouldn't matter what he does. However, some of the guys I've met for coffee or who wanted to date me have turned out to be total orifice wipes with no drive.
As long as the guy has a want to better himself and educate himself and not fester in some go no where job then I'll be happy - and most of the doctors have that drive.
But marrying a medical professional or doctor would be awesome, I'd hear a whole heap more disgusting stories! I did recently get coffee with a hospital orderly who classed himself as a "medical professional". Ah... no offence to those in his line of work who have an ethic, but pushing a bed around and collecting samples isn't a medical professional - especially when he pipes up and ask "So what does CPR stand for? What are in those big black tanks with the white tops?"
I am divorcing a moron who claims we "grew apart" (while completely ignoring the fact he cheated on me the whole marriage!). Anyway, bearing that in mind, marrying someone in the same field would be a plus... always at least that in common!
OT: A man saying "We grew apart" is code for "I treated my wife like crap the whole time we were married, and am totally clueless as to why she left me."
Feel free to disagree with me.

They have that other thread some where, Would you marry a Doctor. Well I am asking would you marry another medical professional. Whether it an RN, a tech, a aide, an RT, An Xray or CT tech, or a US tech, or a paramedic or a pharmacist, or a paramedic.Or anyone else in the Medical or nursing or ancillary positions.
My answer is no. When I leave work. I leave work at the door. I dont ever want to discuss it at home or with a loved one. I dont even associate with other nurses. Except at out annual Golf Tournament. But then I am also 46 and I have not married yet. Nor do I ever want to. My life is perfect as is.
