Lets say Jesus Christ was on earth today ,he went to school and became a nurse, and had the same attitude towards life that he ,apparently had 2000 years ago.
Would he be employable? Or would he make such a fuss when he saw the cost cutting at patients expense and the injustice of the health care system and the discrepancy of care bet/ those with money vs those without, that he would simply not be employable.
And for those christian nurses out there who try to follow his example in attitude and practice,Im one of them,do you find yourself making compromises between your efforts to follow Jesus' example in your daily life and the need to survive and be employable?

He wouldn't make it through our nursing program. One of my teachers is a hospice nurse and she is passionate about easing suffering and pain.
It's only one man's opinion, but he certainly seems to have researched thoroughly, then set up this comprehensive website.

I admit I only skimmed through the introduction, and the epilogue, but there seems to be plenty food for thought.
Peeps Mcarthur,I think what you said about"if you believe in God act like it" is really decisive,at least for christianity. For Christians, its not so much which "church" teaching you adhere to,although some make a big deal about certain doctrines, but its whether christians organize their daily activities in the spirit of Jesus and make Jesus their guide line for action.

The whole point, when I digressed, was this:
What is the foundation of Christianity based upon?
I know what Christianity means and what it means to be a Christian, which I think is what ohbet keeps coming back to.
RNCountry, MollyMo and pkmom helped out by trying to explain the foundation of it being rooted in belief of the resurrection and the Holy Trinity.
We went off into the actual theology as opposed to the idealogy of Christianity.
I find these types of discussions fascinating and think that we are doing a great job keeping it objective without stepping on any toes or being offensive.
