Would you assist in abortions?

I am just curious. Would you ever work in an abortion clinic? Would you give pills that would cause an abortion? Thanks

YES I would

We have a law here that you can only up to 3 months and after only if it will kill the mother if it continues.

NO.....I wouldn't but I want you to know that I am not against abortion but I am against the way an abortion takes place. There needs to be a more humane way to end a pregnancy than how they do it now.

The other day I got the newspaper and the headline was that "some people" thought that lethal injection for prisoners on death row was inhumane and needed to be changed to something where they wouldn't suffer so much....So a lethal injection is inhumane but violently sucking a baby to pieces by vacuum is humane....or better yet taking a knife and cutting it to pieces is???....I wonder what pain the baby experiences when its legs are cut off and it hadn't died yet. I think if you saw the movie Braveheart you may have a small example of what it feels like to still be alive and have your guts ripped out. As far as partial birth abortions go I can't imagine what kind of person you would have to be to partially deliver a baby then suck its brain out in order for its skull to collapse so it can be more easily delivered and be assured that it would not be delivered alive. I don't think I could witness this....I could possibly accept the concept of an overdose of morphine or something where the baby falls asleep and eventually stops breathing and doesn't experience pain.

It would be a person that does partial birth abortions.

I am not sure what you meant but ... if you haven't already done this then I ask that you actually plug in to your search engine "partial birth abortions" and look at what the procedure is and then tell me that you think that this is an acceptable procedure to perform on a baby and that just any person can do this. I imagine there can't be too many. Actually go to the National Right to Life site and it will give you pictures. Then tell me that this is just a normal day in nursing.

As i stated in a post in another thread months ago, without getting into the details, i have been through this myself as the pt. out of life-threatening necessity. I've done plenty of research on every aspect of abortion, but i still do not hold the judgemental opinion of the people that perform them.

I apologize - but I have not read the whole thread - just pieces.

I stand for women's rights, but what about the right of the unborn life within??

Even though I am against abortion (except in cases of rape, incest, and if the child will have no or little quality of life) I feel that the gov't should keep out of it. Those that will have an abortion, will have an abortion, and we can't have "back alley" abortions happening. This is a health care issue, and a very personal issue.

I can't say it enough - I am against abortion (except as stated above) - but that is something that should be left between a woman, her doctor, and her God.

Hopefully, everyone that works in an institution that performs abortion has the option of getting staff who are "OK" with it to do it, and those that are not will not have to.

Give me all the "unwanted" babies. Find a family who wants kids as much as my wife an I do. Do someting, but why use abortion as birth control?? THAT is what irks me.

Have a nice day

Dave, nurses can not be forced to participate in abortion, don't worry about that.

Here is a question....what if Dad wants to have the baby???? and Mom does not??? Doesn't Dad have anything to say...any rights??? Can't get pregnant without sperm....:coollook: Why can't he get to chose to keep the baby he created??? Just wanted to get you thinking some more.

Yes, and I have. What I don't believe in is "using abortion as a method of birthcontrol."

The "children" I assisted could then grow up themselves and society will not have another unwanted person to deal with. I also believe in abortion when a pregnany threatens the female's life. It never was, so "never mind giving it a chance" Mother first always. How ever you have to follow your beliefs weather to work with or around abortions. Only you can do that.

Well, perhaps, "dad" should've had this discussion prior to having intercourse. It's always dumped on the woman....as soley her responsibility, but, as you point out there is a man involved. Maybe if more them started stepping up we wouldn't have so many abortions.....?

And,I guess, when a man can carry a pregnancy, he can opt to give birth, raise and care for the child, with or without the assistance of the woman involved. Like so many women do now. :o

That is exactly one of the aspects of having a sexual relationship I discuss with my sons. The fact that if they choose to indiscriminately sleep around, what happens if a child is created and the woman chooses abortion? They have no choice in the matter.

Lots of thought needs to be taken before embarking on a sexual relationship. Do you share the same values? Is this someone you would want to be the mother of your children? And the questions I posted earlier that one of our docs gives to kids who come in for birth control. Sex has more ramifications than orgasm.
