I am just curious. Would you ever work in an abortion clinic? Would you give pills that would cause an abortion? Thanks

You all need to be commended for not letting this thread get way off base.

Thank you. :)

:chuckle Wow! Thanks everyone for your opinions. :balloons:

Well, just to post my opinion. I work at a Catholic hospital, thank God, so abortion just would NOT be an option. My sister had an abortion last year, and I really discovered the truth about myself and this very sensitive subject. Well, I encouraged her to keep it and to even move out here with me and I would help her get on her feet. Well, she did it, and I cried for two days. However, what made me feel worse for her was that she went through a very traumatic situation and she said she received no counseling and treated as if she had a very routine procedure done. I was very hurt at the time that she would do something like this, but now, I do see why she did it. Her boyfriend was abusive and beat her, even choking her...Hopefully, this A-hole will never impregnate another woman.

So, no I would never put myself in a position to assist in an abortion. For those of you who would, I am certainly glad that you are able to, cause someone has to. I probably could care for a mom after the fact.

You are right people should learn to take better care of themselves, but would you say that to a teenager or woman that was raped and is now pregnant. I think not... You need to think of both sides not just yours.

I believe that aborting the child in these situations just adds to the trauma. The poor mother has been brutatlized and killing her baby won't change that, just add more trauma and pain. It is interesting, it is ok to kill the baby - completely innocent party but God forbid we should consider killing the father.

Like innocent unborn children who have no choice, unlike their mothers who in the majority of cases have a choice--before becoming pregnant

When i said "as long as they are not forced upon others, i was referring to people's OPINIONS on abortions being forced upon others.

Do not read more into a post than what is there, please. Thank you.

People who are against abortion, should never have one. I believe that they should not try to take reproductive rights away from others. We must each live by our own personal morals and values, and not require that others live by our standards.

Trying to overturn Roe v. Wade is taking away the rights of others.

There are 2,000,000 abortions a year in The US. Can you imagine the siuation we'd be in if all of these unwanted babies were born?

Abortion is the quintessential "necessary evil."

I just read on a news website that a British TV station is going to have a special on abortion procedures. They are going to show an aborted fetus at 4 weeks, 9 weeks and 14 weeks, and how the procedure is done. It's the first time something has been done like that over there, since it was always deemed "too graphic" before.

While I am pro-life, I don't try to force my opinions on others. But, I think that this show is a good thing....I don't think many women, esp. the young ones, really know what they are doing, and therefore are more prone to suffering emotional problems later on. If they can watch that, and come to terms with what they are doing, then maybe it will help them deal with their feelings afterwards (then again, this could just be my own logic). Now, I'm not saying it should be mandatory that before one gets an abortions that they should watch a movie....but they need to be counseled about what they are actually doing to themselves and their fetus.

In some ways I too belive that abortion is a "necessary evil". But it makes me sick to see the cavalier way that some women obtain abortions frequently. This is a life, a potential life, that they are ending. All the PC talk in the world doesn't change that fact. I just don't think that some of them fully understand what they are doing.

Jusy my humble opinion.
