This nurse is trying to get back in shape and looking for some music to add to my playlist. What do you rock out to while working out?
I appreciate everyone's responses.
I'm picky about my music. I don't like listening to stations because I can't skip ahead or have limited skips if I don't like a song... which is often. I'm interested in specific songs with artist name and song title.
If anybody's interested, here are some of my suggestions:
AC/DC: Shoot to Thrill
The B-52's: Loveshack
Bee Gees: Stayin' Alive
Big Data: Dangerous
Blondie: Call Me
Blur: Song 2
Boomkat: The Wreckoning** (One of my all time favorites)
Borns: Electric Love
Britney Spears: Work
BT (ft. M. Doughty): Never Gonna Come Back Down** (also favorite)
Calvin Harris ft. Florence: Sweet Nothing
Jamiroquai: Canned Heat
Chet Faker: Gold
The Dandy Warhols: Bohemian Like You
Destiny's Child: Bootylicious
Digital Underground: The Humpty Dance
Donna Summer: I Feel Love
Electric Six: Danger!, High Voltage
Eric Prydz: Call on Me
Glass Animals: Pools
Goldfrapp: Strict Machine
Dee-lite: Grove is in the Heart
Harry Belafonte: Jump in the Line
Hilary Duff: Sparks
Devo: Human Rocket
Hyper Crush: Werk Me
John Newman: Love Me Again
Journey: Don't Stop Belivin'
Ylvis: What Does the Fox Say?
Justice: DANCE
K.C. and the Sunshine Band: Boogey Shoes
Karmin: Hello
Lady Gaga: Telephone/Born This Way
MIA: Bad Girls
M83: Midnight City
Madonna: Jump
The Jackson 5: Can You Feel It?
Millencolin: No Cigar
The Black Keys/Missy Elliott: Get your
Neon Trees: Lessons in Love
Pet Shop Boys: Opportunities
Betty Who: All of You
Phoenix: Lisztomania
Ptibull: Hey Baby
Saint Motel: My Type
Scissor Sisters: pretty much any song by this band
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah: The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth
The Skyliners: Since I Don't Have You
Timbaland: The Way I Are
Ting Tings: Great DJ
Miley Cyrus: Do My Thang
TV on the Radio: Wolf Like Me
Wind down: The Raven's Song
I had this list typed out from my blog. I'm not crazy, I promise.
I would flip my Twinkie if I was on the treadmill and What Does The Fox Say popped up.Hey... Different strokes yadda yadda.
I despise that song. Especially when high schoolers/college students blast it on their radios as they drive by. Bro, you are not cool. And that song makes me want to throat punch you.
I recently started turning towards country, so I really have no room for judgment.

It depends on what type of country!!!
Chicken Fried:
Hey, they're really good. Weird song, but I feel like throwing on a flannel shirt and going country dancing all of a sudden.
I'll have to check these guys out. And now I'm craving some fried chicken. Thanks. (Well, I did discover that my neighbors have chickens roaming in their yard...)
I love Zac Brown Band does that count, Indiana?
ZBB counts. Some of their best work involves Dave Grohl though. They are musicians at heart and I don't think that a lot of their music really fits "country". They do a lot of classic rock type stuff in concert.
I like country, but old stuff like Johnny Cash.
For working out I like Missy Eliott, Outkast, Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, Will Smith among others for cardio and angry music (Pantera and Rage Against the Machine) for weights.
