Anyone attending wolford college spring 2018 class?

The current students are in a tough spot. It's possible that about 80 won't be able to graduate before the program looses COA accreditation next fall. If they close the doors suddenly because of cash flow problems before they loose accreditation it could be more students. It's been a slow motion train wreck.

So unfortunate but some students knew the mess they were getting into! A school that has abt 3-4 cohorts/ yr is more like a money grabbing puppy mill to me....

Some are just uninformed. What amazes me is how many can be annoyed to hear that there are clear signs of a problem, just didn't want to hear it.

I wanted to reach out to you and check if you heard of any update on the status of Wolford accreditation. I also interviewed on the same date Nov 13, 2017 and was accepted. Unfortunately I received the call that class 2018 was postponed. Several people at work told me that they have heard of this happening to other schools in the past and it may just be for precaution until they get things situated. I was disappointed but however glad this happened now and not after starting. Meanwhile, I have applied for other schools but they don't interview until May. I hope Wolford get their accreditation in order, it would be very unfortunate if not.

The COA has extended their accreditation through Feb. 2020. Good news for current students. I have a copy of the COA letter that I saved from one of our CRNA/SRNA group sites, but I don't see a way to attach it here.

That's excellent news! Did they say what will happen after 2020? I'll PM you also.

It didn't say, but in some of the comments ppl discussed how they had continued to fail to get their requirements addressed/fulfilled for Regional. I really don't know anything about Wolford, but I think it's great they worked to get the accreditation extended, for the sake of the current students. Maybe they can get the Regional requirements met before then and the program won't have to suffer an accreditation gap.

They aren't eligible to get financial aid for AA students without regional accreditation. SRNAs qualified for federal financial aid because the program was COA accredited. The COA was named a gate keeper for financial aid years ago when many problems were hospital based certificate programs.

The COA extended to let the current students graduate. That is all. The current students only. All others need to look elsewhere. They expressly did not change their mind overall.
