Anyone else apply for February 2016 start date?
In my naive and uneducated mind, it stands to reason that 20-30 new students twice a year at roughly $60,000 apiece is a profitable venture. One that they would be interested in perpetuating. It also seems as though they are doing some longer term things that would seem to indicate that they plan on being accredited. Let's be honest. They know whether or not they're going to meet the criteria. I plan on bringing the topic up during my interview, but I'm honestly not concerned.
Truthfully, I agree with you. It is profitable for them, and I honestly did want to attend this school because I felt that I wouldn't have any problems getting in. I have no qualms against this school, and I do hope they obtain regional accreditation. If they do obtain it, I will be the first to apply if I'm not accepted anywhere else. There is no doubt that the owners are banking it, and shutting down would be like killing a cash cow. My only point is that it would be safer to apply and attend after the October visit in order to know more about the future of the school.
If you read posts from as far back as 2008 you will see that they have been saying they are working on regional accreditation. Why put it off until the last minute? It's probably not financial seeing as how the owners are rolling in the dough. Good luck. Please update us on what they say during your interview.
I started in October and had to withdrawal due to health issues that arose. While I was there, they had made all necessary changes in order to meet all the requirements. All instructors had their doctorate and they added a class in that we were taking along with the class ahead of us. I have to say that communication and organization is not their strong point. I emailed and called a few times now to see if I could come back now that I'm cleared by the doctor and haven't heard a thing.
