Any update on SACS accreditation in your interviews?

There working on it,. They have to be SACS accredited in this next renewal

I would be concerned about SACS accreditation in this program-this program has been working on it for several years. SACS is not program accreditation, but accreditation of the institution as a College. It takes a significant financial commitment to meet the regional accreditation and it remains to be seen if Wolford is willing to spend the money. If your degree is not granted by a regionally accredited College, other Colleges won't recognize it. You may be a licensed CRNA, but not earn an accredited degree.

I agree with you@loveanesthesia. SACS accreditation is very important. There is a first for everything, and wolford has never been SACS accredited, because they were not required to by the COA. Now the new criteria by the COA requires every Anesthsia program to be SACS accredited. With this criteria in place, Wolford is forced to comply or shut down. I strongly believe they will comply and this will be their first time acquiring SACS accreditation.

Earlier is this post, someone speculated that you could earn a doctoral degree from the University of Phoenix, because they would be happy to take your money. here are the admissions requirements from the University of Phoenix website for doctoral programs:

[h=3]To enter a doctoral degree program, you must:[/h]

  • Have a graduate degree from a regionally or an approved nationally accredited — or candidate for accreditation — college or university or equivalent graduate degree earned at a recognized foreign institution. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on graduate degree posted transcripts.
  • Have a record of current or past employment in a supervisory or management position. Certain doctoral degree programs may have program-specific work experience requirements. Please contact an Enrollment Representative to learn more about program-specific work experience requirements.
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or hold an approved, valid visa if residing in the United States.
  • Have access to a research library.
  • Have a signed University hardware/software agreement.
  • Not have been expelled from a previous institution.
  • Complete all required forms for admission and submit an official graduate degree posted transcript.

The University of Phoenix might be happy to take your money with a MS from Wolford, but the University of Phoenix is regionally accredited and will put their own accreditation into jeopardy if they admit students without degrees from accredited colleges. They won't admit a Wolford student because their own accreditation is more important than the money from a few students.

I think I'm going to wait until after the October 2016 visit to apply if I don't get into a different program before then. There's just too much uncertainty with the program right now to justify moving to a different state to attend.

I received an email September 28th that everything was received and that my packet for Spring 2016 was submitted to the review committee. Just waiting to hear back at this point.

Received an invitation to interview today. Anyone else? Does anyone have any advice for the interview?

Tips: stay calm, be yourself. Very relax environment. Minimal clinical questions.
