I been hearing this debate off and on for a long time about how if Obama gets universal healthcare to go ( if he gets elected of course)though in the US that nursing pay will be cut dramatically. I would think this has to do with the fact that we would all be working for the government and that there will no longer be competition. There are many people in my nursing class that said they will leave nursing if thats the case. I also talked to several doctors that said the same thing about medicine in general. Im just curious if anyone has some good info about this. Thanks
Stanley, please. You are sounding wack. And I sir, am not a "he", though you obviously are.
adjective / verb
wack
Am I torturing you with my non-word word???
Everyone needs to go and vote- that is why we have the right to vote. Both candidates are scary in their own way.
You cannot compare other systems with what will be the American version of universal healthcare- we have a different government and system of doing things. We can only take what knowledge we have and extrapolate to what we believe it will be like.
I don't like the idea of universal healthcare but without it I see a future of employers slowing dropping healthcare coverage and hospitals demanding payment immediately from the uninsured causing more and more bankruptcies and destroyed lives. Somethng needs to change.
Wack? Are you trying to sound 'urban' to annoy me or showing off your youth? Bleh...
I saw 'wack' and almost slapped my brother. He uses that same word. Then he wonders why no one takes him seriously. *Roll Eyes*
Wack... Seriously... :chuckle
Universal health care is a forgone conclusion. The only question is when and how will it be implemented...
Wack? :chuckle That is sooooo very 1986

:) It's improper or NONSTANDARD English. It's ok if you would like to dumb down the English language but everyone can point/click/copy/paste.
Irregardless IS improper English. It also highlights the users poor grasp of English. Use it if you want.
BTW - Ain't is in the dictionary too. It's still incorrect.
When you see NONSTANDARD in a dictionary entry it means WRONG.
Dictionaries list all words in use, REGARDLESS of their correctness. The dictionary is not the master of proper language. It is the master of USED language.
Really, Ive heard Ain't and irregardless used by our masterful and knowledgeable and wise and highly respected president G W Bush. So it has to be correct. if the president says so. Don't you agree to that.
As to what he's been through. Not only did other POW's NOT talk there are things in life WAY worse than physical torture. He has no permanent damage so how badly did they torture him. Where is his PTSD? Exactly.
His Post Traumatic Stress Disorder reared it's ugly head when he chose Yukon Barbie as his running mate. If he really cares for this country he needs to chose someone that can run the country in case something happens to him. I am sure she has placed some bandaides on her children why don't we just give her give her an honorary RN. Doesnt that make some of you mad when we all worked so hard to obtain our training. She hasnt had enough training to be placed in the White house. There is some poor critical thinking in his political maneuvers.
Due to his political choices in a runny mate, I feel neurologically and psychologically his synapes are not connecting . Yukon Barbie in not ready to be in the White House. She may be just fine at a state governmental level but not the White House. Would you go have open heart surgery from a surgeon who is not trained to do so. McCains reasoning is not solid. Is this just another political move to win at any means. I feel that this man does have some PTSD with moves like this.
Maybe I will get "extra credit" by joining this conversation!
Paddlelady
Yukon Barbie is that the same as Princess Palin
Whether Mccain has PTSD or not is a mute point. He has had decades to deal with it. And it hasn't hurt his career. You can call it PTSD, maybe even early Dementia, or even Mad Cow disease. You can call it whatever and however you like. Now Mccain through out his life has earned being respected. However, I personally do not choose him to president. That is based strictly on his positions and nothing else.

The president also said God told him to invade Iraq...
Enough about THAT nonsense...

I did not say I served my full time. And your right. I have not suffered torture. I've just loved someone who has lived with it every day. My point was that living with someone who has is different than knowing and serving with that person. I don't think you ever saw your CO huddled in a closet crying because they had a nightmare that put them right back in their POW camp.
Again, your right lets get back on topic
