HELLO EVERYONE! ?

I would like to know if there is anyone out there that will be applying at -------->>>>>>

I would like to share info I have gathered so far: (please correct me if I am wrong):

-Tuition: $728/cr

-Fully Online / One Course (NSG 500: Adv Health Assessment) requires a short 2 day residency in November. Specific days will be posted on 7/15.

-This program is not a strictly cohorted program / program is flexible.

-You will receive info on preceptors 4 months prior to the start of your schedule clinical rotation

-Clinical hrs: 500 hrs (w/ 50 of those hrs in Peds)

-Need to maintain a 3.0 overall GPA in courses

~~I have couple of questions:

1)If you are a NON-resident, how much approx did you spend?

2)Please can you post it on here or PM your schedule that you followed?

~~~PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD ANY MORE INFO THAT IS NOT MENTIONED. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE! STAY SAFE ?
@2015bsngirl I was accepted into the program for fall 2021 as well.
I was also accepted into the Fall 2021 program. Haven't accepted it yet, still trying to make my decision between other schools. I am leaning towards Wilkes because of the support for clinical placement. However, I am concerned about the on campus requirements cost plus other fees. I was told the program should about 35k with fees.
That's completely understandable, I am not looking forward to the on campus requirement, only because it is a 2 hour drive.  But I will cross that bridge once I get to the 2 courses that require it.  I have a zoom Fall welcome on the 21st, hope all sounds good.  Good luck with your decision.
Thank you! Can I ask, do you feel confident about their preceptor placement support?
Honestly I  not really concerned about that, I am confident that if they can't place me I have other options.  I try to think positive and a lot of schools have students jumping through hoops to find sites.  I am just fortunate to be able to meet a lot of new people and established connections.
Congrats on acceptance! I’m still waiting to hear! I applied to a couple other schools… EKU and Frontier Nursing University…
I understand the concern about going into campus but I view it as a positive and a way to make connections:) I truly hope they assist with clinical placement!
Thank you! Yes. I think in person visits could be really good for learning. I am more so just saying if the overall cost is more than the other two schools I hope it's worth it in terms of the eventual connections for clinical placements. Good luck on waiting to hear back on those schools ?
Hey all, just got accepted to the Fall 2021 semester. Haven't committed as of yet but definitely looking like I will. Any others committed for it? Would love to connect.
I just saved my seat and attended the welcome webinar for Fall 2021.
That was the plan for me, but now I am having second thoughts with this school.  I don't have time and money to waste on being frustrated with lack of communication and disorganization.  I am still waiting for feedback on my transfer credits.  No one knows y it's taking so long. Smh
Hey I'm starting PMHNP at Wilkes this August. Anyone have Novak for Patho? Know anything about her style?
Hey y'all I am starting this program this Fall too! I just joined the FB group. I didn't have facebook, so y'all are my only contacts on there haha! Nice to meet all of you! I am so nervous, but excited!
Please make sure to find your own preceptors.. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE preceptor placement.  ----->get on the FB main group, and you will get your answers there.  You are on your own on this program.  This is not a program where you can easily get an adequate review from professors or get lectures each week.  The greatest part to succeed is having each other.. there are amazing groups formed to succeed in this program.
-if you are a student that may need more time to get the right info from lectures or need quick responses from most professors - I would suggest finding an adequate program.  GOOD LUCK, EVERYONE! YOU GOT THIS! If you have the determination to get to your final destination trust me you will get there ?
