Hi

No they do not provide clinical sites. You would have to find your own sites.

Hi,

I got the acceptance letter from WILKES for the Psych NP program for fall 2020. Is anyone from California?. I read from their website if you are from out of state you need to get authorized to set in for the BOARD exam?.

Hi, I am looking to apply to Wilkes in for Spring 2021 for the FNP. The main reason that I was looking to attend was because they wrote "Guaranteed Clinical Placement" on their website.

You are saying that they do not actually find placements for you?? What do they do then? Any help?

Few More Questions:

What has been your experience in the program so far?

Do you feel prepared for clinical?

Are there instructional powerpoints or is it mostly them throwing articles at you and saying, "hey, read these and take the test"?

Is it mostly self taught?

Does the program mostly consist of writing papers or mostly exams? / Or are there a lot of papers to write?

Are the teachers responsive or helpful if you have questions?

Do they still require the use of webcams for exams?

Hello All,

I just applied to the Fall 2020 yesterday. It’s Fourth of July weekend so I’ll have to wait a bit longer to get some kind of news.

My questions are to those who have started the program already: How is the program going? Are the instructors responsive? What is the structure of the courses, is it typical papers, discussion boards, and quizzes weekly? Do you like it so far? Do you feel the program is preparing you well?
Is anyone doing the Post masters pmhnp?

Appreciate any information you can give.

Thank you

Heavily considering this program compared to some others, following this thread as well...

Beware California residents:

I was informed (upon my inquiry, and last minute), that they are now currently not authorized to accept California residents. So, if you applied and got accepted for fall 2020, like me, it's a no-go for you.

Hi everyone in this cohort! (Fall 2020 Wilkes PMHNP program) --- I am hoping to get a leg up as much as I can before starting this program in 2021. Can anyone let me know the textbooks or reading assigned for the first courses? I also would love to start the advanced psychopharmacology text if anyone knows which one(s) Wilkes is using. Thanks!
