  1. Hello All, I just applied to the Fall 2020 yesterday. It’s Fourth of July weekend so I’ll have to wait a bit longer to get some kind of news. My questions are to those who have started the program already: How is the program going? Are the instructors responsive? What is the structure of the courses, is it typical papers, discussion boards, and quizzes weekly? Do you like it so far? Do you feel the program is preparing you well? Is anyone doing the Post masters pmhnp? Appreciate any information you can give. Thank you
  2. Hi I just finished the application process, hope to be accepted soon. July 31st is deadline for fall 2020. Does anyone know if we can use financial aid for August 2020 start? I’ve seen some yes and some no, advisor hasn’t gotten back to me yet. I can’t pay for this out of pocket. I will be following this thread to share info and learn from you guys as well. Glad there are others in this with me.
  3. Hello, I am thinking about applying to this program. I spoke to an advisor yesterday. He said that the school will help me find preceptors and that I will be done in 1 year (I have FNP-C). The ‘residency’ requirement is supposed to only be a meeting with a preceptor to see how things are going, not really for skills assessment, is what I was told. Most everything about the program sounds good, though I am a bit skeptical about the school finding clinical preceptors for you. I asked the advisor how this has been working for other students in prior semesters, I was told that it has been working great. But I read in here that fall 2020 is the first semester the school will be helping with setting up preceptors?? Strange My biggest question is are we able to use financial aid for the post masters certification? This will be the deciding factor for me. Does anyone know? I am currently enrolled in Washburn university, but this program is 2 years because it doesn’t go through Summer semesters, so I started looking around again. Wilkes appealed to me because it said in sure that clinical placement is guaranteed.
