Hello, I am thinking about applying to this program. I spoke to an advisor yesterday. He said that the school will help me find preceptors and that I will be done in 1 year (I have FNP-C). The ‘residency’ requirement is supposed to only be a meeting with a preceptor to see how things are going, not really for skills assessment, is what I was told. Most everything about the program sounds good, though I am a bit skeptical about the school finding clinical preceptors for you. I asked the advisor how this has been working for other students in prior semesters, I was told that it has been working great. But I read in here that fall 2020 is the first semester the school will be helping with setting up preceptors?? Strange My biggest question is are we able to use financial aid for the post masters certification? This will be the deciding factor for me. Does anyone know? I am currently enrolled in Washburn university, but this program is 2 years because it doesn’t go through Summer semesters, so I started looking around again. Wilkes appealed to me because it said in sure that clinical placement is guaranteed.
