Why do I feel like a COMPLETE FAILURE???

Published

Just venting a bit. I failed traditional nursing in my last semester by 1/2 a point and then started EC. I am very happy with EC, but nothing is ever easy for me. I feel like I struggle a lot. I know my info, but fall apart on some of my exams. I think it depends on whatever else is going on in my life. I am a student, wife & mother. I just want to have more confidence in my self. I definitely take on way too much sometimes and need to just stop. Thank you for listening.

You are truly not alone, we all have our ups and downs. Challenges makes us stronger and a true test is overcoming challenges. Without Allnurses, I don't think I would have made it this far.....passing the CPNE. I really thank you all.

i'm sorry you are feeling like a failure. i believe things happen for a reason. the best thing to do is learn from your mistakes and keep fighting. eventually, you'll get there as long as you don't quit!

by the way, how far are you with the ec nursing exams? maybe we can help on the rest of your exams?

good luck to you!

Hang in there! ~hugs~ You can do it. Don't give up. It is worth it. The great thing about EC is you can take as much time as you need to get ready for an exam. I agree with the other post . . . I know I couldn't have done it with out all the wonderful people at this site that so unselfishly help so many get through it. We'll help you too!

Don't give up, nothing is never handed to us, so keep moving forward and you will get there soon enough. I know it can be overwhelming to be that close but everything happens for a reason, just take it and make the best out of it. {HUGS} I agree with everybody else, I would not have made it this far without the wonderful people on allnurses, Thanks everyone!

And remember, your ability to take a test really has little to do with your eventual capabilities as a nurse. So don't let test anxiety make you doubt that you'll be a great nurse in the end.

Although I didn't fail LVN school, and I don't know how you feel but I do know the struggles that you're having while in school. I too am a mother, student, daughter, aunt, etc etc. It's hard especially when you want to spend your time studying but you can't because you have to help your kids with their homeowork, take parents to doctors appointments, and WORK. All the other students in my class didn't work, and some of them didn't have kids so to watch them get an A while I felt stupid because I got a B on an exam was hard. But then I came to realize that I'm a full time student, mom, and working part time. It's hard, and a challange, so don't sell yourself short. Even though you failed by a half a point, look at it this way, everything happens for a reason. You're in a different school, and you're still learning, you're applying what you learned before to what you're learning now and you're gaining more out of it. Pat yourself on the back and say "GOOD JOB" because most people want to be in your place and they can't. Soak up everything you can and apply it later during your exams and your CPNE (which I heard is very hard). Good Luck & GOOD JOB! :-)

THANK YOU!!! Thank you to everyone for the well wishes. I have two exams left with EC. One, I could not postponed and was not able to study the way I should have. That is my own fault (Transitions). The other I killed myself to study for and failed majoring (LS 2). So 2 exams left.. I know I should be proud and I am. I just knock myself down so much sometimes. But thank you to everyone.. I really appreciate all the support.

i'm sure you will knock those last 2 exams when you retake because now you have an idea of the questions you will get. i just took transitions and i used sg101. make sure you memorize everything on the practice exams specially the rationales for all answers.

lastly, when you get to pearson, try to be confident even if you don't know the materials %100. when you get a difficult question, just tell yourself "it's ok, it's one of the unscored pretest questions" and pick an answer & don't dwell on it.

good luck rnwannabe12 or i should say "rnwillbe12" :D

Thank you.. I can't wait to be RNWillbe12..!!!
