    Statistics for Health Care info

TiffyRN, Did you take the stats course in 15 weeks or 8 weeks? I am taking it in 15 weeks and I am hoping this will help me considering I expect to struggle with it. 8 weeks would not work for me

    Failed Health Safety Today!

I don't don't think you have to pay to take the practice exams again. It will be the same questions. Also I think you can review them for sometime after you pay for it. One other thought is to call and ask the school if you can retake it sooner than they tell you. This way you will not lose what you have studied and you will know what to expect.Good luck

EC students: how long did you wait to take NCLEX?

Lunah did you find it hard to start reviewing for the NCLEX? I feel like I need to review everything again which is very time consuming? Or did you just refresh your memory by answering questions?
  12. How long did you wait from finishing the CPNE before taking your boards. Also, how long was it since your last EC nursing exam before you took the boards. I am having a hard time studying...

How to start reviewing for the NCLEX?

Just wondering how everyone is preparing. I will be graduating from Excelsior College in a few weeks and want to get started with my nclex review. Does anyone have any helpful ideas. How many hours per week, material used, courses taken and how long do you wait to take it? Thank you
  14. I am preparing for a lifespan psych exam. I was just wondering if anyone has used older versions of the textbooks to take the exams. If so, did you think it was good to use. t
  15. I am sure I have said that before about all my EC nursing exams, but this was AWFUL!! I can't believe how much this test entails. I passed with a "C", which I will take. I was hoping to do better, but hey.. it's over!!! If anyone needs to take this, I would suggest Lisa Arends material on ebay. It was very helpful.

    CPNE Careplan question

I did.. I took Lynn Fredericks.. I have to say, that the EC conferences did more for me. Check out the CPNE board for anyone selling or willing to give you an EC dvd of the CPNE. I can't remember, but I think it was a bit pricey. Someone gave me an older version on the boards for free. I payed it forward and gave it to someone else. The EC dvd makes you feel like you are actually taking the CPNE. It lets you know exactly what to expect. I also got Robs CPNE, which you can google. It is worth the money for the lab set up. Also if you look up Vanessa's CPNE on youtube, that is extremely helpful. You could watch that for free.. it is just as good as Rob's. As you can see, I used many resources. If I had to do it again, I would have done EC workshops and cpne dvd only, with Vanessa's youtube.. I hope this helps.. I just wanted you to get a feel for what is out there. One more thing.. You MUST read, reread and reread again your study guide. You would be surprised how many things you will miss. It is overwhelming when you first start it, but things come together as you review it, time and time again. Take notes, take side notes of questions you have. You can post it on the Cpne board and eventually have phone calls to proctors. Sheri Taylor and Lynn Fredrick (look in yahoo for Lynn) have practice careplans that they will grade you on for free.. Do these as well. I hope this helps!
