I need to take a statistics for my BSN degree with EC. I am absolutely terrible with algebra. I am considering taking the stats for health care, but not sure if I am going to struggle with this. Can someone offer some advice please.
Thank you

I'm in the same boat as you are with the statistics class. I am in the ASN program, but plan on continuing straight through the BSN route to get into an FNP program. I had originally scheduled the MAT 101 online course for summer II, but after talking to others on this site about the BSN math requirement, I had my advisor switch me into the summer II statistics online class. I am trying to fulfill as many ASN gen eds with BSN requirements as I can. I am also not so great with algebra! It's been soooo many years since I had to study algebra, and I never liked it then. What I plan on doing is watching Youtube video lectures on algebra. Of course we are on spring break with EC this week, so this week will be a good week to start. I have actually had a ton of luck with Youtube with other academic areas of need. If you just do a little searching, there are lots of great professors putting videos on there. Give it a try Best of luck!

I took Statistics for Healthcare through EC (MAT215) back in 2012 when it was a brand new course. Since then I believe they have made it available in either 8 or 15 week course options. I am linking my thread where I described my experiences taking this course. My final grade in the course was an A but it was hard fought.
I recommend signing up with Khan Academy (free) to hone up on your algebra skills. They also have some great videos on statistics principles that got me through when I was stuck on a new concept.

TiffyRN,
Did you take the stats course in 15 weeks or 8 weeks? I am taking it in 15 weeks and I am hoping this will help me considering I expect to struggle with it. 8 weeks would not work for me
I took it in 15 weeks, it was only available in that format at that time. If the course is still formatted the same I would recommend the 15 week format unless one's math skills are already strong. I found myself spending hours a week working on it so it would have been difficult in an accelerated format; at least for me.
