I used to post in this forum awhile ago, then kinda took a break because there was just alot of waiting until I actually got into nursing school. Well, I finally got in and am starting this fall :) I don't feel quite right about posting in the students section though, because I'm not quite there yet. I just wanted to see if there are any other soon-to-be nursing students who are lurking in this forum.
I'm trying to get in this Fall. I have applied for the last four years and were turned down every time. This year I have all my general core classes out of the way and then some. I will graduate with an Associates in Arts in May. Hoping to finally get into nursing. I have good points within the point system. Letters are to be mailed out on Tuesday. I hope to see a BIG yellow envelope in stead of a little white one. I have a 2 two old 31 week preterm baby w/ CP. He is blind and suffers from global delay. He also is an Identical twin who suffered from Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome. I have had a lot of exposure to Nursing the past two years and feel that I would be a great asset to the field. I will be able to relate to mothers of babies who are facing the same as mine did. I pray that God knows how bad I want this and how great I would be in this field. He and only he know what the future holds. I only hope he allows that yellow envelope to be in my mail this week. :bowingpur

i'm sure you would be awesome in that area...especially comforting families who are going through similar situations that you've been through. good luck on getting that big yellow envelope!

What God has for you...is for you! Good luck! I'm sure you'd be a blessing in the nursing field!!!
I was accepted into GTCC's Fall 2010 ADN program. It's been a long time coming but I know a change is gon' come!!! This is actually my second time around, hopefully all will go well this time.
Our orientation isn't until June 18th and we'll start classes August 16th.
I will only be taking ONE class...thankfully I'll have all pre nursing classes out of the way this summer. I decided to retake A&P 1 and 2 since I got a C in both and I'd like to some day do either an RN-BSN or RN-MSN bridge program.
Congratulations to those accepted and good luck to those still waiting!!!
I'm a fall 2010 hopeful as well :) I find out April 15th. It's at a college in Montreal, Quebec. I tried to get in last year, but got declined because I was missing some pre-reqs that I couldn't finish by their deadline. I got those in the past year while working at a clinic as a secretary though, so I'm hoping it all works out! :)
I am starting this Fall at Hudson Valley Community College NY, heard it is very tough program and I have no previous medical experience. I am planning to take General Chemistry and Precalculus this summer(no sure but hope that might help). Also I will be reviewing my medical terminology book.
Got my acceptance letter from California State University, Chico today, so glad I can officially start my major!
