So I'm moving after July 4th to another state for Nursing School. I'm currently in NC and moving to OK to attend a BSN program at Oral Roberts University. I was wondering how many people are moving out of state or another city to attend nursing school because I KNOW I can't be the only one. :coollook: I'm packing up and I'm getting sick of it , that's me not dancing but tripping all over the place from all the boxes surrounding me. I'm getting a little claustrophobic in my apartment lol.

I wish there was a way I could just snap my fingers and be moved into my new apartment in Tulsa, that would be amazing. Is anyone else out there kinda stressed about moving or am I the only one? I'm not even worried about the school work I just hate moving :uhoh3:!

Well I'm moving from Louisiana to Georgia to go to school, so I definitely understand the stress and anxiety that you all are feeling! I've never been THIS far away from my family (9hr drive), but i'm pretty excited about moving. Hey, you have to grow up at some point, right? lol

My family and I packed up and moved from Oregon to Texas. It was hard on all of us but we are getting through it. I start my 2nd semester this fall. :specs:

I have been plannin to join fall 2010. How is ORU? Do you like it?

I'm moving from NYC to Baltimore next month-- yeah, the moving isn't so much fun, but I don't mind leaving the noise and dirt of the city for a quiet suburb. One caveat-- my hubby and son won't be joining me for three or four months. due to his work.

Oh well- I am trying to be thankful to have gotten into a great school, and to have the support of my family.

I'll be moving back to Canada from Cuba in July to start school in August. It's not as stressful though, because all my stuff is still there in storage, so not really any packing to do. I came here in February, because my parents are living here until August 2012 so I wanted to spend time with them before going back to school. I still have to find an apartment and all that though... the one I've been looking at is right across the street from my college, so it would be really convenient.

I will be leaving Michigan and attending a school in Cincinnati, Ohio which is going to be a 6 hour drive. Im really nervous, mostly because I have 2 small kids and I dont have any family or friends in Ohio. So I know that this is going to be one of the hardest times in my life, but hey I gotta do it.

I would love to move to Ohio early so that I can get a feel of the city and everything but I was blessed with a full time paid internship this summer and I need to save up all the money I can before the big move.

Oh and for the record, I HATE moving. The packing and unpacking is never fun for me unless its for some type of vacation:)

I agree completely!

My parents dont want me to move to attend the school I got accepted to...they keep insisting that I apply to schools in MI so that I wont be so far away, but they dont understand how hard it is to get accepted to these programs.

Sometimes I feel like they dont want me to ever grow up...LOL

I moved away from my family last August (380 miles) to attend nursing school. I live in a rural area and could only get an associate-degree RN at home, so I moved to a place where I can get my MSN and be a nurse practitioner. It's been a HUGE sacrifice for my husband & I, but we have a very strong marriage (17 years and counting) so we can handle it.

Might move to Reno,NV...enough said

Moved from Colorado to Kansas where I knew one person. Was an amazing feeling to start over completely new where no one knows you. Now I love it out here.

Moving from South Florida to San Antonio, Texas for nursing school. At least my fiance will be there. Good Luck with the move!

Going to be moving from Colorado to San Antonio, TX in August to attend UTHSCSA.
