Who all is waiting to apply/hear back for Fall 2012?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi. Just wondering who all is applying and when? One program's deadline is April 16th and the other program's deadline is May 30th. I am so tired of waiting! I am impatient lol. I figured we could all anxiously wait together! I should know something from both by the end of July- which seems SOOOO far away!! At least I have a full summer semester schedule ahead of me and two busy little boys to keep me occupied. So, hopefully the wait won't be too bad!

Good luck, everyone!!

^ that will be me too. Hehe

I'm also in the waiting game....Applications were due the end of April. I submitted mine in February...Took my TEAS in March and got an 82%. I have 29 credit hours down with a 4.0. I'm REALLY hoping to get that big, fat envelope!! We don't find out until the end of June/ beginning of July....I hate waiting!!!

In the wait here too! The school said they should send out decisions mid to end of June which just seems like years away to me! I keep checking my mail though, just in case :-)Louise

I called the school of nursing today so that I could make SURE my application is complete, and luckily it is! They also told me that we should actually know mid-June instead of the end of June like I was initially told, unless they have to do the selective process. The deadline is next Wednesday. I'm just not sure what to consider "mid-June"? I'm going to be checking the mail everyday!! I'm so anxious, nervous, and excited.

Hi boke. I too am waiting on the letter for U of I. My advisor told me that the minimum GPA that they accepted last year for ASN was 3.1 and for BSN it was 3.2. Of course this year, rumor has it, they have a record number of applicants so who knows. I have a 3.72 GPA in the pre-reqs so I'm hoping that will fit the bill. What GPA do you have?

Hello there. Got like 2 and 1/2 weeks left to wait!!!! ahhhh!!!! I have a 4.0 for my A.A. I got a 98% on the HESI reading and 96% on the HESI math (FIU only cares about the math and reading portions = good for me!). Even including the other sections, I got a 92% (their minimum is 80%). HBU guys?

The third week of April I got an denial letter, it didn't say why.

Today I got an email from the admission coordinator that I was selected as an alternate, So basically someone has to not pay the deposit, not pass drug test or background check, or withdraw before I can get their spot.

I am excited, but I feel like I won second place not first. The next couple of months will be miserable, because I won't be able to eat or sleep. I was stressed out just waiting for acceptance/denial letter.

I try not to worry but I want to be a nurse so bad, I pray a miracle happens.

(Sigh of relief) I found out today that I got in! Now I can actually relax and enjoy the long weekend. I will keep my fingers crossed for everyone still waiting for an answer

I heard today that 400 people applied to the nursing program I applied to. Oh man that made me feel sick. :( I really don't think I'll get in now. I could literally bawl my eyes out right now! This is going to be a long month. I highly doubt we will know mid-June now.

I got two denial letters from the University of my choice:/ Im still waiting to hear back from two more community colleges though. I should be getting a letter within three weeks from my next choice, and my last choice's letter will be here mid July. Praying that I get an acceptance letter after 6 rejections this past year!

My college on average gets in about 500 applications and only accepts 144 each semester! Talk about nerve wrecking!!

Keep your head up!
