Who else is waiting for an Acceptance letter?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Who else has applied to their program and is stressing out? Lets all share and while we wait!

I applied in FEBRUARY! And wont find out if I got accepted or not until the middle of May, so I'm pretty much losing my mind... I'm trying very hard not to bother the nursing director, I've already bothered her twice... All she will tell me is "Your scores look competitive." That's not enough for me! But I'm trying to be patient, and also not to get my hopes too high. I'm finding it difficult to concentrate on my current classes, I'm so distracted stressing about my letter! My heart skips every time I check the mailbox, even though I know it wont be there for another month!

So share your story of waiting, whether your waiting now, or have already been accepted, or if you have any tips and advice on how to NOT stress about it!

I turned my ADN application in today and won't get my letter til the first week or so of June. I remain cautiously optimistic and try to focus all my excitement to the new Jurassic World movie coming out June 12th:)

I missed my school's cut off my just a few points last year so just being able to put my name in the running this year has me feeling awesome.

I've been accepted into my second choice and I'm waiting on my first choice's letter. It should be here within the next couple weeks. I'm really stressing over it. I applied last year as a transfer and was not accepted. This year I'm a current student so I have a better chance but I don't know. I'm completely worried. But at least I know I'll be on my way to a BSN either way.

I applied for only one school, and I sent it in the second day application was open. That was back around mid February and I don't hear back till May 13th. I'm so nervous but if I don't get in, I will just reapply. I'm keeping my head up and trying to finish my last semester at my current school! Yay only 4 weeks left till that's over and then nothing to distract me other then work. Good luck everyone!

Great job supporting everyone, guys! Some of you have to wait a very long time! But it will all be worth it when we are holding that wonderful letter (or reading that wonderful email!) In our hands! :)

Is anyone on here applying to an RN-BSN program? I just applied to an ADN program but definatly want to pursue my bsn in the near future!

For those students that applied to the two Los Rios programs in the Sacramento region, they usually let their applicants know the results about 5 weeks after the filing period closes at each campus. The actual day they send notifications out may vary a bit, but it's usually within that 5th week. I usually got results within 2-3 days of each other every time I applied to those schools.

I applied to MCC in MA, LPN to RN program in November at the beginning of application; deadline to apply was February. So needless to say I have been waiting longer than most. Acceptance letter I'm told wont be sent out until late April early May, and because I applied to the bridge program, apparently I have to wait and see who failed before I find out about acceptance :(. This is probably why the bridge applicants find out the latest (about the second week). I applied to the day program so they only have 10 spaces so that in itself is nerve wrecking.

My part time job and working with my Autistic son does help to make the time go by, but it does not make it any less nerve wrecking. I spend a lot of time on this forum reading post/topics pertaining to acceptance, but I also decided to take another course which will be a pre-req. at other colleges. There is no interview process at this school. They use a rubric points system so I have done everything possible in my power, so now I wait hoping for the best and saying a lot of PRAYERS!!

Positive thoughts but take classes that may improve your chances in the event the worst happens.

Good luck to us all!!!

Omg the wait is the worst part! I thought studying/taking the TEAS was bad, but this waiting crap is for the birds...and I have just begun my wait!

I turned in my application on Tuesday and letters don't get sent out until the first week of June :(

The same as you, I'm trying to not have my hopes up too high, but it's hard not to. The program advisor was impressed with my TEAS score and I have all A's in the required pre-requisites which contain all the points I need. As a whole, my outlook is good, but there are only 40 spots for the ASN program and about 3x that amount who are applying and the spots are between two campuses!

Arrgh the wait is so awful but I'm trying to spend my time focusing on finishing this semester in the next 5 weeks (can't believe the semester is almost over!).

Still waiting on Lpn to adn acceptance letters went out this week

I sent in my application in January & I'm waiting to get my letter in June .... It's terrible. I've already asked the dean, advisor, and nursing students currently in the program what are my chances. Haha.

Now I'm finally relaxing and just being patient because six months is too long to be constantly driving myself crazy wondering if I'll make it in.

I believe I'll make it in but if for some reason I don't, then it's not the end of the world.

I'm very excited. 2 years of prerequisites and a HESI test later & I'm finally here waiting for my acceptance letter.

Good luck to everyone.

Received my acceptance letter today !! RN

I applied in January and got my acceptance letter last week. I'm thrilled, but the wait was terrible. Now it's time to start getting all my ducks in a row.

I applied February 1st and won't find out until end of this month or first week in May. To be honest, I am not holding my breath. While my GPA and test scores are good(it is a point system instead of based on GPA only), extra points are awarded for medical experience. I haven't done anything medical since an ER internship in high school. That was 17 years ago. We will see. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get in.
