  1. My clinical instructor did report it to the police and the police said that this wasn't the first report they have gotten like that this month alone.
  2. They look at all courses but the nursing pre-req have a greater weight to them. I hope that makes sense.
  3. Oh okay! I am also trying to find the list of books for first quarter because I am renting them instead of buying. I am taking a car load before orientation but don't officially move till the weekend before school starts.
  4. I just got emailed the schedule for quarter 1 today. I am in cohort C, but haven't figured out what lab group that I am in, does anyone know how to figure that out? I'm so excited to start!
  5. You're welcome and Denver is great, you will like it, btw feel free to add me on Facebook, my name is Kate Lumsden.
  6. @nheiland, Hey congrats on getting an interview, basically you are pretty much in if you get an interview and pass the test. The test isn't hard, they will lend you a study guide plus there are some great apps to help study for it. The interview part is easy, basically they ask you why you want to be a nurse and why DSN. The test is not hard, study conversions and fractions, the reading and vocab sections are pretty straight forwards, study up on grammar and you will definitely pass. After the test, you will print out the paper and sign enrollment papers therefore saving you a spot and you are in!!! :) I can't wait to get started too!
  7. @kayleighkt, Haha oops, I was on that list but found a place in aurora. I didn't see a name similar to your username on the email. I haven't heard from anyone else who is looking for housing but I'm sure more and more will come up as we get closer to the start date. You should look up housing on Craigslist, Zillow rentals, and rent.com if you haven't already.
  8. The only sections that you take for DSN is the math, reading, grammar, and vocabulary. There is a critical thinking section which you can't really study for. Its more for nursing train of thought and such. You are not graded on it as it just goes into your file I assume. It wasn't to bad, I studied here and there for the test but really study the night before. Don't stress to much but study grammar sections from the book and memorizing conversations and factions.
  9. @crysallynn77, congrats!! The interview is not bad, they or whoever interviews you talks about the school and basically why you want to be a nurse and why did you choose DSN. They give you a tour of the school and you fill out some paperwork. The HESI math portion is factions and know your conversion as well. They give you a book to study from and make you do the practice questions.
  10. Email Rachel Pratt, she has a email list going for people in DSN looking for roommates. I know that there is one girl in October cohort looking for a roommate and housing and one from the July cohort. I'm in the October cohort as well, I'm very excited to get started!
  11. @futurenurserebecca, I may have to take you up on that offer! In your experience with DSN is it better to rent your books or buy them with the school? I'm so excited to start at DSN in October!
  12. Yes, I felt like I was in. She said that the test, HESI was easier than the TEAS which I have taken before so I'm not to worry about but definitely going to do some studying for.
  13. Had my interview today, it was relaxed. I brought in my updated transcript and the other papers she required. I also filled out fafsa before hand and talked with financial aid. I scheduled my HESI received a tour of the school.
  14. That's good, hopefully you get pulled from the alternate list. Do you have to submit another application for October or just keep the other one and have it updated? I've heard a lot of things about DSN and that volunteer experience is a big part of getting accepted. Keep me updated and good luck!
  15. My interview is this Friday and I moving to Denver. I live in the mountains so I will be moving to Denver and looking for a roommate. As far as Financial Aid, I was told that I would be speaking with them during the interview. I filled out FAFSA and had it sent to the school.
