I start second semester tomorrow evening. I am ready to go back to get back in to a routine but I am so not ready for break to be over. We had our orientation last week. My head hurts just thinking about it.

Not for class I hope.

we were suppose to start back today but unfortunately 8 inches of snow fell and class was cancelled. I was ready to go back.

Wow...I'm surprised that you guys get cancellations because of snow!

Last semester, towards the end, we got almost 2 feet of snow, and they didn't cancel a thing!

I live in the south so we don't have the machinery to clear the roads or the knowledge to drive in snowy conditions. More than 2 inches and we are in trouble.

Ahh...

I'm in Upstate NY, so snow is kinda what we do...it starts snowing in November, and it snows right through March!

In the south, if there's even a threat of sleet or snow the world shuts down and people riot the grocery stores stockpiling bread and milk. I don't really understand why a person would suddenly need bread and milk specifically, but that's what people hoard. It's also weird because the stuff usually melts in a day or two.
