Hey guys, about to start school soon and I've tried on so many white scrub pants looking for a pair that's the least transparent (I know white pants are notoriously see-through, but some are better than others). I've got a pretty big black tattoo on on one of my thighs and I was just hoping to get some recommendations about brands and styles that might make it a little less obvious.
Any help??

How about white bicycle shorts underneath your scrub pants?

They also sell those sleeve-like things that fit on upper forearms for edema and/or for use to stop jiggly flabby arms. They might make them large enough for thighs or there might be thigh sleeves.
I'm also thinking of those geri-sleeves that we used I LTC/NHs for skin protection.
Tan-flesh colored.

How big is your tattoo? Can you cover it with a flexible bandage?
Thanks for the advice guys! It's about 10ish inches long and 4 across, all bold black lines and shading, and very visibly through white fabric. I thought about getting bike shorts but I worried about whether or not they'd be comfortable for long periods of time.

I purchased slip bottoms in nude - sorta look like spanx. Koi originals are all cotton and a little thicker but once you start washing them they get thinner. My friend had figs but I’m not sure they still wouldn’t be see through. Also my Cherokee infinity are decent but I never tried them in white — but try them on because they are certainly some of the thickest I’ve had. Definite don’t bother are any polyester koi (koi lite especially) or any other 95% polyester. Good luck... oh - I bought my slip pants at a department store. Yes they were hot but you couldn’t see my tattoo on my butt.

If you; or you know someone; you can buy material and make some pants. Back when white pants first came out my Mom made me some white uniform pants. She "show through" tested with very red nail polish (I had a dark birthmark on my left knee).

Along these same lines, can you have someone sew a white patch on the inside of the scrubs, bilateral, so it doesn't look odd. It wouldn't be as hot as some of the clothes (Cherokee infinity?) that you could wear over the tattoo.

What is the obsession with nursing schools and wearing white, and expecting them to always be white and looking new? I think it's time to trash that incredibly stupid tradition in exchange for colors that actually hide all the stuff you're inevitably going to get all over you.

they have slips for pants, just like slips under a skirt. I bought some years ago for an unlined pair of wool pants I loved. you can buy them in beige ,white or black. too bad you can't wear colored pants.
also tattoo makeup with powder over it, then spray it with "liquid bandage" lasts for a few days! ?

I had some white Dickies brand that didn't show my several leg tattoos unless I sat down and the fabric stretched tight. This was in 2008, so there are probably better options these days.
