White Memorial New Grad 2011

Published

Just wondering if anyone has applied to the White Memorial New Grad Program for next March and if anyone knows when they will be doing interviews.....I don't see any status updates on their application page so just wondering..!

anuong05,

I think they were saving the best for last! :) I'll see you soon!

Thank u! No nights and weekends for my 1st year. I'm excited!

Congratulations jnnkrstngmz! =]

Anuong05, If I'm not mistaken, you were offered a position too. Congratulations =] !! May I ask, which floor will you be working on?

It's such a huge accomplishment to land a new grad position and in a very good teaching hospital too. Good luck! I believe I will be seeing you in the near future!

I'll be in PACU working 8hr shift 730-4 pm m-f, no nights and weekends for my first year. After that I'll be on call once in a while. I'm super excited. My manager, charge nurse, and preceptor made me feel like home there. They'll train me for a year 'cause I don't have iCU experience so I need to cross- train. C u there!!!

That sounds SO wonderful! I've heard from plenty of sources that the first 6 months -- 1 year may be the most overwhelming for a new grad nurse, so it's nice that you'll have year long training. Plus, I'm glad you feel comfortable with the people you'll be working with. It definitely makes the new grad to staff nurse transition so much easier. I'm happy for you...seems like you landed a perfect new grad opportunity!

Hi NurseVN

I am a relatively new allnurse.com user and I just applied to WMMC Summer Versant program. Was hoping you could PM me for some guidance. I don't think they let me PM you b/c i havent made 15 posts yet.. :(

I'd appreciate any help you could give! Hope things are still going well over there

Hi! I applied for the August cohort last April 3 and Im wondering about the pre screening questionnaire. I didnt receive one in my email but I answered a 100+ item questionnaire after I submitted the application. Is that already what I need?

Hi Karen,RN. I, too, only filled out the lengthy ~6 page questionnaire together with the rest of the application. I submitted my application on Apr 4 and just received a call today to have a panel interview next week. So I think that is the only questionnaire to fill out. I was also told that they received over 600 applications, but I didn't ask how many they will be hiring, or for which units. For those passing the panel interview, there will be a med math test and then an interview with the unit manager. Good luck.

Thanks for sharing Conure Girl

I had a call this morning as well with the same experience as you (only the 6 page questionaire) The lady from HR who called told me the same information. She said that they are hiring for virtually all departments and asked me to pick two. HOWEVER, when I double checked their New Grad Residency website: http://whitememorial.com/careers/versant/index.php

It list only a limited number of units, no Emergency residency or ICU but there CCU

Hope this is helpful for y'all

Did anybody else get a call? I hope they just started calling people..
