Which specialty would you like to end up in?

For all of us wanna be and soon to be nursing students what specialty would you like to end up in? I thought it would be interesting to see if that changes as we actually go through clinicals.

It's my dream to be in the NICU (neonatal), but I have a feeling my mind will change at some point, maybe toward L&D or Pediatrics.

Right now I think I want to do either Pediatrics (PICU) or ER...but who knows- that may all change :)

Med/Surg or CVICU

Specializes in family practice and school nursing.

in school wanted L & D/ Postpartum... ended up school nursing.. never know ,I guess

I want to work in every ICU.

Burn, neonatal, surg, cv, trauma, etc.

Intensive care is my niche

L & D or Psych! Great idea to see if this changes over the next few years

I thought about NICU but I don't know if I could handle seeing the cute babies like that! I bet pediatrics would be fun!

I have always wanted to be a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner so of course I want to work in the NICU and with pediatrics. I doubt very seriously that I would change my mind. I know I have the heart to deal with the possible mishaps and I already volunteer working in the Pediatric Otolaryngology Department at a hospital here. That's where my passion lies.
